Both tried to model their fighting style on Joe Frazier but who would have won a matchup between the two?

If its the best version of both guys I think Cooper knocks out Marvis Frazier. Not as quickly as Tyson because Bert was a plodder but he would eventually time him with that sneaky right hand.

I pick Frazier. Cooper lost to guys at or below Frazier's level. Frapier never lost to anyone as bad as Cooper, and did beat guys who were better than him.

Physically, was Marvis bigger and heavier than his father?

He was a shade taller but nowhere near as strong or powerful. He may have bulked up to be a heavyweight but it wasn't the same.

Cooper, much too strong and harder punching. Marvis doesn't have the power to keep Bert off of him.

I like Marvis in a hard fought 10 round battle.

Marvis would try, he was a good little battler, but can see over a few rounds Cooper getting more and more hard right s in till he gets him, probably around the sixth.

True. Cooper short, sneak right hand was a thing of beauty. If you were foolish enough to let him get in range for it. Ray Mercer found out.

Marvis ! He could beat James Smith who was bigger ,stronger, better than the bum Bert.
Honorable mention Marvis showed big heart against Smith.

Marvis only had 2 career losses to Holmes ( 10th fight ) and prime Tyson. His CV
included wins against Broad, Tillis and future HW champion Bonecrusher Smith and
CW champion Benton. Cooper was at his best against sluggers and was troubled by
slick boxers. Marvis adds Cooper to his CV. Marvis on points.
