Nothing says "baddest motherfvcker" quite like having to skulk around and sucker punch someone because you couldn't get the better of them in an actual cage fight. Masvidal had 25 minutes to prove he was the better fighter, but he failed miserably. Sucker punching someone is the epitome of cowardice, and, ironically, his followers believe his actions make him look tough, instead of a run-of-the-mill cheap shot artist. Can you imagine GSP doing something like that? I think not.
I think it's dishonorable, but that's how I think about street fights in general. However with that said I think it should lay to rest the idea that MMA fights are street fights or will better equip you for a street fight. Street fights are unpredictable and unfair in nature. MMA and boxing are sports with rules and codes of honor.
No this doesn't help his image it's quite embarrassing and cowardly. The fact that Masvidal had to be hooded/masked up, have several guys with him and attack him from behind shows how pathetic he is. Realistically if Covington fought back and it was a struggle do you think Jorge's boys were gonna not jump in? Cage or street if Masvidal is willing to face Covington face to face there's no way he wins as proven or he wouldn't of felt the need to go to that length and hit him from behind. Also Masvidal is 3-5 in his last 8 fights
From what the story is he was also in a mask and a hoody over his head so he Colby didn't even know what was happening until he was coward punched and one of the guys with Jorge also jumped in and sucker punched him. Jorge then makes a video on social media of how tough and proud he is of doing it. It's a cowardly low putrid act. Colby was right on he is a dead beat father and person. Jorge just proved it himself.
Colby talking all the s**t he does and then going to the police is embarrassing Not saying Masvidal is in the right, but don't talk all kinds on nonsense and then expect people to be cool with it This is not fighter specific either, if you're gonna have plenty of mouth, and behave a certain way, you might run into resistance, it's just embarrassing if you then press charges I agree with Khabib on this
