I honestly believe Sky Sports are going to go through a huge shake up now.

They have Premier League Football and that's big but what else? That alone doesn't justify that price of the monthly subscription.

I think that's why Sky went full meltdown when the European Super League was announced, not because they care about fans and the next generation of supporters, they have all their stuff beyond a subscription.. they were in full panic mode because they are getting left behind.

Matchroom have gone now, Warren over on BT, there are a couple of options.. Wasserman Boxing, I think they are favourites and MTK.

But that Matchroom, IFL and Sky lovefest is over, poor old Adam Smith will have to pay like the rest of us if he wants to see "Kaaayyytttiee" and "Shannon, who has been through personal difficulties..", "fascinating".

I also wonder what DAZN means for IFL now also, surely a digital platform will want those digital hits, so they will want exclusive access and exclusive interviews even on YouTube from Hearn and his fighters who they will be paying.

No video from Kugan yet either, I would have bet monies the moment Hearn announced they would release a video, so maybe its starting already.

We will see but I'm convinced Adam Smith and a few others will be on suicide watch tonight, they had a good thing going, they were taking outrageous liberties and now it's over.

I wonder if Conor Benn is still gonna be PPV over there? Surely not and surely Whyte isn't either.

Yeah true, I think it has been Jose and that style of football, it's been so hard to watch. Maybe I've been spoilt over the past few years with Poch.

There are a few very good players coming through also, Skipp on loan at Norwich is a proper player and a young striker called Dane Scarlett is very promising, only 17 and is/was getting in squads already.

Also Harvey White at Portsmouth, only 19 and looks a player, also 16 year old Alfie Devine looks a star in the making to me, singed him from Wigan last year.

The new stadium, so yeah, maybe I'm being too negative.

The cup final, we will need a mini miracle.. but you never know.

But I have a sneaky feeling we could get in the top 4, he have a decent run of fixtures left. I think it all depends on you lot.

As for your lot, amazing season really, Moyes is doing an incredible job, Lingard has turned out to be the signing of the season in my opinion, truly inspired.

I have family member who are Hammers, so I get a lot of abuse from them over text
It's all good though, I have relatives who are Arsenal fans, far far worse situation:risas3:

Anyway, I hope when Eddie told Adam Smith, I really really hope he just said "I'm leaving.."

    And then said

    "Shamone Mother F'er"

Also, I'm on the text, I've just been told, which I didn't know..

Sky didn't make any sort of official offer to Matchroom, they pretty much knew Hearn was off.

Also, Sky don't want to work with MTK right now, for errrrrr obvious reasons (please don't kill me, just repeating something I've been told).

So it's either a Wasserman Boxing deal which might me difficult, as they are not based in the UK, there cards won't be in the UK regularly.

Al Siesta is getting a decent crop of fighters but he isn't big enough to fill Matchrooms shoes, nobody is actually.

Also, AJ Vs Fury will be on Sky PPV as AJ has one fight left with Sky then it's GAME OVER, SKY SPORTS PPV IS DEAD, FINISHED.

I WIN SKY, F YOU ADAM SMITH, F YOU.

Actually, if AJ Fury hits a snag and they both have another fight before the big one then Sly miss out on AJ Vs Fury which is HUGE.

PDC darts only recently signed a long term deal with sky. Darts isn't going anywhere.

Also snooker is not exclusive with sky. Sky show less snooker then Eurosport for example. Snooker isn't bringing in subscribers for DAZN.

Surprised DAZN haven't bid for rugby league (Super League)

No they are not. The money they paid matchroom will go to s new company who build a new boxing stable eventually.

This is hopefully the beginning of the downward spiral for sky. They're losing popularity, hopefully they lose the football too. They had a monopoly on all the big events for too long, then BT came along and now DAZN. Glorious stuff.

Lets just pretend Setanta Sports and ESPN UK never existed right. Sky have had competition for years. ESPN (with all that Disney money) realised sports TV rights is a huge cost and walked away while Setanta spent money on rights which they never had. Sky won't be going anywhere dude!

It'll be interesting to see what sky do now. Whether they get new promoter/s in or drop boxing

I'd personally like to see someone fresh like Steve Wood or Al Siesta get a chance rather than the old guard of Warren/Hennessy/Hobson.

Sky has lost a plethora of sport over the past 10 years and their sport offering continues to shrink while prices increase.

Subscribers have noticed and will continue to leave in droves.

I am a loyal Sky Subscriber myself but I know for every one of me, there are at least 20-30 out there watching everything for £50 per year.

The only way to reverse this trend is to reduce prices or it will be all over.

Yes, you're right. They have lost loads of sports. They got F1 and let everything else ( largely ) disappear.

Lost isn't the word I would say for all those sports. There will be some sports that didn't represent value which Sky were happy to let go.

You have to remember more important is the sports that drive subscriptions and drive ad revenue which are the big difference makers. English football, F1, Golf Majors, Ryder Cup, English Test Cricket @ home, British Lions Tours in Rugby, NFL, Darts.

Sky have doubled down on the sports that drive subs as well as ad revenue and let others go if they don't believe the price represents value.

Which sport could you say Sky lost which was a huge blow?

Champions League? Possibly but if one had to make a choice between the EPL and Champions League you would pick EPL.

European and English club Rugby Union? Not a union fan so not sure how big that is but it's telling Sky always keep hold of Union internationals.

Australia v England in cricket is a big deal but out of the two having an Ashes series in England when the coverage isn't through the night is a bigger deal.

Let's not get it twisted its not like BT are happy to just spend whatever it takes.

BT were quite happy to let UFC go as they thought it was too expensive. They were going to let Rugby Union go as well but Sky cancelled there Rugby channel and BT ended up getting a new deal for less.

I understand mate but just check all the sport shown elsewhere and remember this was all on Sky 10 years ago.

    1. Football including Champions League, Europa League, some EPL, Jock Cups, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Portuguese, Dutch etc
    2. Cricket
    3. Tennis - all gone
    4. Rugby Union - most on BT Sports and Premier Sports
    5. Boxing - Matchroom FC Gone
    6. Snooker
    7. UFC

Should the EPL Football reduce further, then the pack of cards must be in serious danger of collapsing as subscriber numbers are already falling rapidly.
