The idea of trolling is to make it hard to notice you're trolling :patsch

Trolling or not it would be a better fight than Lee v Nielsen which looks to be on the cards now.

    Why is it trolling?

Lee vs Macklin would be a very good fight. Only an idiot would think otherwise.

He's not trolling about it being a good fight, maybe I got it wrong and true_hero was being so subtle with his trolling that people didn't even notice it

Exactly, so how can it be trolling?

I stated a fight between two opponents which would be a good fight. Not trolling. :good

After that last fight i couldnt see him wining any tittle tbh , the only hope i think he has is Andy Lee to get beat by BJS and it paves a way for an all irish big seller

Yep I agree, I think he thought the same about Barker and Lee...funny isnt it how both Barker and Lee have won world titles but Macklin hasnt.

A fight with Murray or Lee would be a good fight and give him a chance of bowing out a winner.

I also agree with other posters saying inactivity has affected him.

Yeah, he only has to be in the WBO top 15 to get a shot at Lee's WBO bauble.

I think he'll box on - one last throw of the dice.

Only he himself will know if he has anything left.
He certainly can't rebuild his CAREER, per se...it's too late for that.
What he might try and do is launch a very TACTICAL approach to try and grab something.
He must forget about going for "one big fight".
I feel he should plan to fight several non-threatening low level opponents...no one better than say Kerry Hope or Brian Rose level , just to see if heDOES have anything left.

Obviously should he struggle At that level he must quit for good.

A few quick fights might, just might, help him recover vital sharpness and match fitness.

Assuming he wins...Then take stock after 3-4 quick fights.

No shame in losing to Martinez and Golovkin, and probably wouldn't ruin a fighter mentally, but after the last performance you'd have to question where his heads at post fight.

It seems the whole World has written Murrays hopes off against Golovkin, people talking about Golovkins next opponent and a potential cash out between Murray and macklin, but i don't think Murray is finished at World level if he lose's to Golovkin whereas i think Macklin is done.

Nothing against Matthew, but i've never rated him as highly as some do on here, he had no names on his resume and as soon as he stepped up a level he got starched every time, with the exception of the Sturm fight.

Confidence plays a huge part in every fighters career, and is the only thing that helps or hinders a lot of them.
