Max Baer vs David Tua

What is "modern"? What makes Joe Louis less modern than someone like Deontay Wilder or John Ruiz?

 

No, Luis Ortiz wouldn't oliberate everyone in any era. We had big, skilled fighters like him back then - George Godfrey for example - and he didn't dominate either.

I'm not going to argue forever, believe whatever you want. Just keep in mind that saying "old sucks!" doesn't give much wisdom to this debate.

 

I mean, he handled Galento easily and Galento was seen as a dangerous fighter only because he was dirty and poweful, he wasn't some kind of world class opponent.

So Deontay Wilder is more modern (so better) than Ezzard Charles because he was born later? Do you realize that human evolution doesn't work across two or three generations?

 

If Max goes in and drops his defence then it's honey for Tua.

it's all titles it has nothing to do with how a person skills is of said style

 

so max was getting hit easy by other boxers and no real defense but is able to take dave who hit way harder then anybody back then with decent defense

I really can't see how you could arrive at this conclusion.

There is no good reason to think that anybody in history could take Baer out, without hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink.

There is also no good reason to think that Tua is likely to demolish any champion level fighter.

Simply put, there is no historical precedent for either of the above events happening!
