Actually, if it was like Leonard and Hearns, the puncher (Pacquiao) would surprisingly outbox the boxer (Mayweather) and be up on the cards until Floyd turned slugger and stopped him late.

    That would be interesting.

You all are taking this way too literally, lol. What Kellerman meant was, Hearns was the better boxer and was outboxing Leonard. Leonard was down on the scorecards. He had to go for the KO, he went for it and he got it.

He saying in the event of two ATG fighting, Pacquiao and Mayweather, and Pac has to go for the KO to win, he won't just become demoralized like Floyd's other opponents.. Pacquiao will fight tooth and nail, and that gives him chances.

But that's just it. Going in, Hearns was the knockout puncher and Leonard was seen as the excellent boxer.

When they got in the ring, Hearns became the excellent boxer who didn't seem to have the power to hurt Leonard, and Leonard became the stalking slugger who seemed to hurt Hearns whenever he landed cleanly.

There are plenty of big fights where the slugger kept plugging away and finally scored a knockout win over a boxer (Taylor-Chavez 1 for example). What made Leonard-Hearns so unique was there weren't a lot of big fights when the boxers completely switched roles, and the boxer KOd the slugger who was outboxing him.

Ok yes there are tons of examples of someone being down on the score cards and getting a knockout, but Max was just referring to this fight as that example since it's also one of the greatest fights of all time.

He wasn't saying they were going to switch roles, just that Pacquiao could be the Leonard down on the scorecards and Mayweather could be the Hearns that got knocked out.

If Mayweather leads handily on the cards and Pacquiao comes blazing away looking for the KO Mayweather will be on his bike and hard to catch.

I have a feeling this fight will be an anti-climax and would be very surprised if it turns out an epic.

Could be as good fight, or it could be a boring fight. Void does not have to through a punch, the judges have already filled out their cards. Void can't lose a decision in Vegas.........................I think Void will just run like hell for most of the fight................

    Fail!
Pacquiao was allready in that position in the 3rd Marquez fight and despite the fact that Pacquiao's whole corner had concern and reeked "we're losing" on their faces, Pacquiao neither had the energy or ***** to go for broke late in the fight.
Marquez had him off balance throwing arm punches all night.

Mayweather being as defensive as he is will have Pacquiao looking even more clueless.

    1) Pacquiao's wife was refusing to be anywhere near him. He was caught cheating. They've been fighting. Roach was mad that Pacquiao wasn't getting good night sleeps because he was always up all night talking with Jinkee. She asked for divorce hours before the fight. He refused to go to the fight because she wouldn't go. Finally, she went but separately. He arrived incredibly late, and had barely anytime to warm up. Call it an excuse, but I know how bad this kind of stuff affects a person. When my mom and dad fight, my dad gets physically sick. He can't sleep and will get sick. Not figuratively, literally. This all was happening on fight night for Pacquiao, and I have no doubt in my MIND that was weighing on him. This isn't even including that this was also the time of his tax problems. So you have tax problems, wife calling for divorce, away from kids, dude. Come on. I'm surprised he even fought. He's still human, and someone will only perform as strong as they are mentally at that moment.

    2) It was Marquez for a 3rd time. This is Mayweather. That fight Pacquiao had nothing to prove. It was a rematch. He already won the fight before. This is Mayweather and it's the fight of his life and determines his legacy. Marquez 3, even if he lost, doesn't determine his legacy. I promise you Pac is going into this more seriously than any Marquez fight he had.

    3) He won the fight, lol. Forget all other points if you want. He won the fight. He was more active than Marquez, busier, landing more punches than Marquez, and landing at a similar or higher connect percentage (especially power punches). He won clearly, even as a close fight. Judges saw it, and compubox proved it.
