Oh Lord. Will there be somekind of emotional support/suicide watch available for Amsterdam in case Gamboa and Mijares both lose?

Haha I'd put my money on Guttierez, which I did when he fought Teddy Reid...made a decent buck. The fight was horrible though...

That was going to be my response.

I'd still pick Guttierez, I was really impressed with him against Clottey and obviously Reid (even though Reid pretty much quit...)

great power, nice combinations. But i think he needs to work on his defense, he's getting hit early on by cortez. Cortez was doing a good job before getting hurt

Angulo is one of those "defense is his offense" fighters. I've seen his Sho-Box fights and the guys body work is top notch. Really really above and beyond his pro experience level.

I think he'll stop Guttierez but it's a great litmus test for Angulo.

I think Angulo vs Guttierez is the best match of the night.

The winner puts himself right in the money for a world title bout IMO.

Same. I'm not sure he's prepared to deal with someone as slick as Albert yet. I love the way he tries to knock the head off of everyone he faces, but his technique leaves something to be desired, his defense needs work, and he has mental lapses. If he can get to the right place mentally, he has the tools to be very good, but I question whether he can ever be unemotional enough in the ring to really use strategy to his advantage.

It just seems ambitious to be putting Angulo in with someone like Gutierrez as well. I guess he's pretty sound technically, but if he ever wants to be elite, he'll need to continue to improve his defense. He's just a little too slow to get there on natural talent alone. He kind of reminds me of Jose Antonio Rivera.

Kirkland strikes me as someone whose afraid to change it up. I saw Kirkland against a F- level fighter who he couldn't knock out...and he just got more and more frustrated as the rounds went by and he couldn't put him down. I think all he knows is one style...and it's going to take a bunch of changes in both philosophy and management.

He needs to realize he's not a barnyard fighter in the booty house. He's gotta change it up defensively.

I have to strongly disagree. I think Kirkland vs Albert is the best match up and will be the best fight of the night.

And I think the winner of those two fights should fight each other and the winner gets a title shot.
