he won by a headbutt punch combo then lost by a low blow punch combo. what goes around comes around i guess.
it wasn't omar's fault, he was already in his rythm. His only fault was the low-blow. The ref is to blame here, he wasn't fast and emphatic enough. Mayol was also at fault for not protecting himself (must be because he can see from his viewpoint that the ref is already stepping in). The call for "draw" and a rematch seems like a fair decision for all party.
Well, for a person who call others idiots you don't sound like a genious. It has happened before. The punch was thrown after the command "Stop" was given. It was dirty and a shame. But the authorities got it right. A technical draw and a rematch seems fair to both fighters
Nino was already throwing his punch and the ref came up BEHIND him. Nino did not see the ref coming to grab him. Protect yourself at all times. I don't like the tech. draw decision at all.
I agree but your acting like he deserved that :? Romero is know for being a dirty fighter he even landed a head butt in the 2nd when Mayol was going for the kill. Mayol ain't no saint himself but 2 wrongs don't make a right
I understand sometimes its hard to stop a punch when you already are in a rhythm. But he obviously threw that punch after he saw he hit Mayol low. ****! I don't even like MAyol. Again, good call for by the authorities. I wonder how many of you could keep you hands up after being hit in the balls!!!!
I'm not saying he deserved it but he has no room to complain. He won his title on an illegal blow so don't expect me to sympathize when he loses it on an illegal blow. I do agree with official decision, but it why couldn't they come up with a similar result for the sosa/mayol fight?:verysad
Yeah fair point the first Mayol fight had a bad ref two at least Viktor had the balls to admit he ****ed up tonight and got the decision changed.
