I'm fully expecting him to keep his word and retire in September next year. Mayweather has been doing this for far too long and is clearly losing interest. The only way I see him continuing past the September 2015 date is if he loses any of his next three fights.

Connecting dots that aren't there. We knew he was retiring since his Showtime deal was announced.

Agree with Scar,I too believe he is losing interest. His life is like a circus these days and it's taking it's toll.Unless he loses one of his next fights he's done next year.

Yea he didn't seem too interested in the Maidana fight, that was my assessment: he's passed his prime and lost his hunger.

Who's knows. Maybe he'll retire 48-1. Now that would be something :yep:lol:

    Khan, Brook, Pacquiao or Bradley...

Take your pick. I see him ruining Khan Brook in May 2015 probably shunting Khan again and taking on Brook.

The sport will be worse off without Floyd.

Whether you like it or not, he's made the sport a LOT of money, even without fighting Pacquiao. Freedom has no idea what he's talking about. (What else is new?)

He broke the record for most PPV buys in his fight against De La Hoya. Then he broke his own record in his fight against Canelo.

It will, but there won't be another HUGE money maker for a while.

How's he "starting" to talk about retirement? If you take him at his word, he made his intentions quite clear when he signed that Showtime contract as to when he'd be retiring. He's mentioned now for almost 2 years that after his 6 fight contract is over that he'd ride off into the sunset.

Don't see anything wrong with what he said yesterday. He's just confirming what he's been saying for quite some time now.

And he still has 2 more fights after this one to make a fight with Manny. I haven't lost all hope on that fight materializing just yet.
