a bit disapointing but i aint shocked - hpefully ill get some better odds on marquez at the bookies now and mayweather wont have an excuse in the world if he gets beat (although he probably wont now)
This content is protected http://www.15rounds.com/all-the-pressure-is-on-mayweather-091109/ Against Marquez, Mayweather faces a seasoned, full-time fighter, whose two has a draw and loss to Pacquiao in two fights that he could have easily won. Against Mayweather, he is the underdog, a heavy one, mostly because the former featherweight and lightweight champion has never fought as a welter and presumably wont be one on Sept. 19. The reported catch-weight is 144 pounds. Marquez predicted in a conference call nearly two weeks ago that he will be at 142 pounds. On the same call, however, Mayweather again would not confirm the reported catch weight. Not weighting no 143, said Mayweather, who dismissed reports of the catch weight as rumors. Its a welterweight fight. I weigh whatever a welterweight weighs. Apparently, that means Mayweather will weigh whatever he wants. Or maybe it means the biggest weigh-in flap since Jose Luis Castillo. Whatever it leads to, it is just another example of Mayweathers ability to keep opponents and media guessing, which truth is part of the intrigue in the countdown to Marquez. :rofl
why would he not agree? he'll be losing a lot of money. Sad to see one of the best fighters get beaten up unfairly.:-(
Prey all you want it wont do you no good. If floyd is a ***** then Marquez is a ****ing ***** for taking the money!!!! :deal
The really bad part is that they're saying they renegotiated sometime last night. Now if he already knew he was heavy he could have more than likely shed that weight. He shows up nonchalantly hops on the scale two pounds heavy with no worries. He had to of planned this and he chose to fight a lightweight which I was OK with because of the skill level and catch weight. But to say **** it and not try to make 44 says **** Marquez and **** the fans this is my house and my rules.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl STFU you ****ing moron. If the fight was at 147 ... floyd would weigh in at 147.
:| Why are you ***s crying over 2lbs?? I don't know where yall get that 144lb **** from anyway JMM is in no position to force Mayweather into a catchweight:deal
It will be funny as **** if your boy wind up being a roided up cheat. No matter Cotto is going to knock him the **** out at his punk ass catchweight anyway.
Look at this dumb ****. Believin rumors from an envious crackhead whose fighter was sparked in two. Clown mutha ****az I tell ya.
Marquez was ready to fight Floyd at 147 before the fight was even signed. It doesn't look good for Floyd coming in at 146 though. It might look even worse for him tomorrow because he now has to pay Marquez extra, and the fight might not sell as much as he expected.
