Highest possible standard? My post said nothing about a theoretical standard assuming everyone on the planet played football. It addressed the fact that Americans who pursue athletics as a profession gravitate toward football and basketball, and boxers are an outlier. Football is football, and whether other nations play it or not is irrelevant.

Hockey and Ice Hockey are 2 different games.

Hockey is the original and comes from a variant over 4000 ago and is played in Asia Europe Africa and Australia on a large scale

Ice Hockey isnt anywhere near in terms of number of participants or fans.

so you feel 60 million to 300 million is a fair comparison. 1/5th population

but 300 million americans to 720 million Euros - just over 2/5ths the population isnt a fair comparison?

Sorry my little British Chav. The UK population wise is not the size of Oregon, its about 30 times bigger.

PR is the closes you can be to the USA without being a state. Infact its voted on almost every couple of years and gets turned down by a very small percentage, will most likely be a state one day.

But considering again, that Europe and the USA are about tied in world titlest, and considering that most Europeans hold paper belts, its quite clear the OP was wrong in saying that Europe is dominating boxing. Infact given your size, you are doing all to well.

    which paper belts are these.

So lets say you count PR......We are even then. Yet you get nearly all your fixtures on home soil! Home refs, and home judges!

The UK has the same population as Cali, lets compare all your Cali boxers to our boxers, who comes out on top?

Wrong again Chav. Josh Childress is earning 30 million dollars playing in Greece for Olympiakos. If you are playing in Greece, Italy, Spain or Russia and play for a fairly large team, you are most likely making big bucks.

Yes, no doubt. In terms of gameplans I definitely agree with that, although in terms of sheer athleticism it's hard to imagine human beings achieving more explosiveness without tearing limbs out of their sockets. Gridiron players are really astonishing specimens.

What's key is how many world-class athletes (raw athletes) a given nation pumps out, and where those athletes are distributed. Rated by sheer physical performance, the US provides a disproportionate amount of talent. It's all a matter of where they go.

Wrong for the 100th time again Chav. Cali does not have the same population as the UK. The UK's population is 60 mil, Cali's is 30 mil.

Fighters born in California i can name off the top of my head. Mosley, De La Hoya, Margarito, Bradley. California wins.
