Its a game of opinions mate ... and for me PBF is the most stylish boxer in the sport today ... i enjoy watching the defensive styles of boxers ! I honestly believe he should fight Pacman and i think he would win hands down but what a fight that would be ... people will always criticise PBF for your valid points and the fact he seems a complete tool outside the ring ...

Locche, Benitez and Sweet Pea are all more PROVEN defensively IMO, oweing to their level of competition. They all rank over Floyd Alltime as well IMO.
if he does fight manny and wins, then he won't have proved beyond doubt he is worthy of ATG status, as in fairness it will be possibly the first time he will have fought someone else who is prime and can genuinely cause him a world of trouble. I am not saying floyd doesn't do what he does well, but you have to consider that the reason for that is the fact he was fighting guys who had some kind of stylistic, physical or pure fighting characteristic flaw that he could expose. End of the day, floyd has always fought guys who he poses more problems to than they pose to him, hence, we don't know how he reacts under actual fire, which is what most people thnk manny will give him. Plus his fight against JMM was god awfull, and he showed his true colours in not finishing him off when he had him down
Yeah, what about the GOOD things in his resume? That far outweight Floyds. Better 'names' as well, which is all you seem to care about/
So you would say theres only Pacman in the world today who could give him any problems at all ? If so thats testament to PBFs skills and also Pacmans ability ... The fight v JMM was a farce to be honest agreed ... Oscar fight was close and dont exactly agree Oscar was going downhill career wise before that fight ....
I think who you fight and how you beat them makes you a great. At lightweight, Floyd's excellent to watch. Offensive-minded and defensively gifted. I mentioned elsewhere that he takes time to adapt now, which wasn't so much the case back then. The problem is that his performances since beating Judah have been underwhelming. Lazy and negative against Baldomir, out-jabbed by Oscar until he gassed, bullied against the ropes by Hatton and drawn into ugly clinches, taking telegraphed right hands on occasion against JMM and refusing to get the smaller, less-able man out of there. Despite the clear wins in all those fights (I gave Oscar four rounds, I think), I'm not so sure he hasn't faded at least a little. The safety first style hurts him when compared to the Sugar Rays or Ali's - both in the ring and in his choice of opposition.
Hopkins also beat a blown up Trinidad, he fought DeLa Hoya who was also a blown up middleweight who struggled with Sturm in his previous middleweight fight. I agree with mryeags, you can pick holes in anyone's resume. Mayweather beat Baldomir who was the best welterweight at the time, beat Judah who was a former undisputed welterweight champion. He also fought DeLa Hoya at his proper weight (light-middleweight) unlike Hopkins and Pacquiao.
mate i aint ere for an argument ... just saying we can all pick holes in fighters cvs .... Hopkins i admire for his talent as much as Pacman , PBF etc ... its all subjective :good
not sayint that really. what i am saying is when he fought guys it was at a time when they were either on the wane, or out of their natural weight division. Practically bullying fighters who were blown up. I personally feel that pbf could come unstuck vs shane tbh. You have got to give a shot to magic matty hatton too! All i am saying is it would be nice to see pbf come out of his comfort zone and maybe fight a paul williams or something, and see what it is like to be on the shitty end of the stick with everything stacked against him, then we will see how he reacts! end of the day, pac man has been doing it for years, moving up and beating people who are naturally bigger and stronger than him. when was the last time pbf did that?
You obviously ain't seen Trinidads fight with Joppy. He was also the overwhelming favourite to spark B-Hop. There's picking holes and there's taking the ****.
