If Canelo beats Lara, should he fight Floyd in a rematch, with no catchweight this time? Do you think that would affect the outcome?

Nope. Wasn't even remotely competitive, there's about as much point in re-matching Canelo as there is in digging up Gatti's corpse to give him a rematch.

Are you saying there's no reason to believe a rematch would be any different, catchweight or no catchweight?

I think so, yes. I believe the major difference in skill level and experience is what made the fight so one-sided, and I have a hard time seeing how coming in two pounds heavier could make a rematch go any different, considering how Mayweather usually shuts down opponents once he's figured them out and Canelo's similar weigh-in weight in his previous fight against Trout.

I'm really not a fan of catchweights though, and I don't think any championship won at a catchweight should count.

What i don't understand about FMJ in the 1st fight is why ask Canelo to fight him at 152
LMAO he can beat him at 154
c'mon now and if a rematch happens and Canelo still wants to box with FMJ lol not gonna watch that ****

This fight will stylistically favor Floyd no matter what the weight is.

This could happen at 160, and Canelo would still be thoroughly out boxed by the superior craftsmen. It is what it is.

floyd was so distraught of schaeffer's firing that he said he ain't ever going to work with oscar anymore.

Alvarez beats Lara on Sat. & a Mayweather rematch will be "the talk" again.

Maidana gave Floyd a tough fight and deserves a rematch. Alvarez got clowned and does not deserve a rematch. An Alvarez rematch is as pointless as a JMM rematch. I do rate Canelo highly though and think he has a bright future.

Styles make fights, Canelo offered no threat and this forum was lopsided in its prediction of Mayweather winning. On a H2H level it wasn't a good achievement, on a legacy level, it was a good achievement however.

I think Floyd's win over Canelo is going to look REALLY good in the next few years.

I'd like to see Canelo fight other guys like Cotto or GGG than rematch PBF right now
