    after they get over cortez they'll need to start coming to terms with the fact that their boy is now only the third best active fighter from the UK.

    This was an awesome fight, but no way Hatton would have beaten Mayweather at 147 at any time. Floyd out boxed, and out brawled him throughout the fight.

    He didnt stop Hatton from holding he just broke them when they held, thats the rule, its boxing not wrestling. Hopkins didnt try to wrestle or hit and hold as Hatton tried too.

    Agreed, Hatton could not fight his fight and lost. Biased? Cortez has always been a joke.

    ESPN "called the fight the worst officiating in history".

    It's boxing, not wrestling. Cortez was right to stop Hatton's holding. Simple as that.

    Cortex is a cheat. It's quite simple to see. I paid over £3000 to see Calzaghe / Hopkins. Vegas was great, i loved it. But Joe COrtez ruined the fight due to his biassed nature. He's a disgrace and should never referee a fight again.
