Arum wanted floyd for cotto, but it was after floyd retired. Cotto was more than willing to fight floyd.
I didn't say he wins. I never said that. I just think it's a tough fight, and a really good one. Choose your quotes carefully, son.
This content is protected 2007. Not to mention this fight is 10,000 times more exciting and fun to watch than the 2010 fight with mayweather.
IMO Mayweather beats Cotto at any time. But Cotto has shown he is willing to step in the ring with anyone at any time. Floyd definitely cannot say that.
I agree, you can't throw out a stylistic advantage in a hypothetical just because he's lost and Mayweather's precious 0 is in a safe place far far away on vacation. Miguel Cotto:"He always runs [from me], makes excuses on why he shouldnt fight Miguel Cotto. I'm here for the big names. If he doesn't want to fight me than I can do something else. I don't know, "To beat Maywetaher, you have to put pressure on him, cut off the ring and be ready to throw a lot of punches, real punches - for all twelve rounds," "I never choose opponents. I never ask Bob (Arum). They always make the correct fights for me. I'm going to leave these things in their hands," - 14th December 2007'
:rofl So ****ing true!!!!! I agree as a Cotto fam that any version of Cotto gets beat by Mayweather but Cotto wouldn't get the **** beat out of him like you are saying ***** and since when does Floyd specialize in uppercuts?
Floyd is the greatest 130 pound fighter of all time but he doesn't fight the way he did when he was at that weight anymore and that's what a lot of *****s just don't realize.
