Systemic epinephrine (EpiPen) is prohibited in-competition - Emergency use requires an Emergency They were actually looking at the wrong dirstion. Xylocaine injected by itself would last for a few minutes (would not last the entire fight actually). But it also is combined with Adrenalin (Brand name) or epinephrine (generic name) to prolong its effect. Adrenalin is illegal in WADA to be used during competition. Commonsense would dictate that the injection has to be with epinephrine otherwise, uncombined with epinephrine, xylocaine would have unpredictable duration of action which could last for 15 minutes or less. By itself, xylocaine is useless if he intends it to numb his hands the duration of the fight. BTW, epinephrine causes your heart to increase in rate, and it makes you more alert because of that. I tried it twice already for allergic reasons and it is like an upper.
Can't be bothered looking. The web is there for everybody. The point is that even in Nevada, it is actually illegal, sorta, if you use it during the fight. The WADA, it is illegal to use epinephrine, which we all know is used together with xylocaine to prolong its effect. Different state boxing commissions have different rules independent of the USADA or WADA. If you want, you could start looking at each state boxing commissions regarding the use of xylocaine specifically during the time of fight starting at .....1 .....2......3....how about now. That would make you occupied for the rest of the day and a good riddance.
