That was brutal. One of few times I almost had tears in my eyes screaming at the TV for the fight to be stopped.

Arturo was one tough SOB and Floyd was different class. I'll watch it again but have to say what was McGirt doing sending Arturo out to "box" floyd.

Remember sitting up and watching this.....Mayweather teeing off on Arturo who was clearly not going to win..but continued to stand there and take unrelenting punishment.

He still not long gone...i don't think i will watch but thanks for heads up!.

Just watching it now, this was Mayweather at his very best.

I remember watching this at the time shouting for Gatti to somehow land on Mayweather and then later on shouting for it to be stopped.

When I see this I can only get frustrated by how much Floyd has thrown away the opportunity to become a genuine ATG. Had he fought 3 times a year since then he could have fought all the names and could easily still be undefeated and with a far greater resume than he will retire with.

Yup. Is it crazy of me to think Mayweather could be undisputed MW champ by now?

Not sure if he would ever have gone to middle but he could have fought Tszyu, Cotto, Margarito, Williams and Pacquiao on top of the guys he has beaten in the last 5 years and no one could legitimately make any ducking claims, and had he won them all his legacy would be totally different to the way it is viewed now.

That fight is Mayweather at his devastating best. Hope ESPN do more of these instead of all the Holyfield one they were showing.
