Floyd didn't face the best welterweight like margo did. Clottey-cintron-Cotto-Williams-Mosley. I give margo props for having the balls to fight them. Now the self proclaim best fighter fought judah who disappear after 5 rounds. Fought Baldomir who has like 10 defeats in his record and fought hatton who barely beat collazo.

    Margarito beat Cotto-Cintron-Clottey at welterweight
    Mayweather beat Judah-Baldomir-Hatton at welterweight

mayweather makes it look easy when he wins, he doesn't need to struggle constantly in his fight because he is that good:deal

If collecting belts in multiple weights is overrated, a lot of people could have done so right now, but only a few selected fighters in history did:deal

If you didn't think mayweather makes it as a top 50 ATG, you don't know a damn thing about boxing:lol::lol::rofl

Mayweather has nothing left to prove no more, if he fights again and wins like he always does, people still wouldn't be content and will keep on asking for more. Especially at the current state of the welterweight division right now.

The only fighter left for mayweather right now is pac but that is if he can get past hatton, and no doubt i think he will get past hatton. Mayweather already ruined him, give pac the leftover just like what he did with DLH:deal

That's right so let him live in his fantasy world regarding his historic ranking and stay retired.

I have been following the sport since 20 years, and PBF is certainly not a TOP 50 ATG. It is just that some of your folks lack substantial historical knowledge.

If PBF fights again and wins against the elite welterweights that will add to his legacy and could give him a spot in the TOP 50. Cotto and Mosley would be his toughest tests to this date.

I do not know if PBF makes it so easy in his wins. He did not make it easy against the likes of Castillo twice and Judah, Hatton...It is not in prime RJJ fashion.

    - I get more and more the feeling that PBF is just overrated in the ESB Forum. I have never heard a commentator and read articles from a journalist that PBF is a TOP 50 ATG. It is just the PBF fanclub. But I have heard Emmanuel Steward and Doug Fischer that he is not.PBF has more sceptics than you think and he has to come back to prove them wrong.

He definitely has nothing left to prove, you know it's all desperation when you see a group of drunken Mexicans and ******s claiming that Margarito(who hasn't accomplished NOTHING) is the man he should beat to prove ANYTHING. Watch these desperate ******s attack this thread now.

Of course he can but he doesn't really need to and I can understand why the motivation is out the window at this point.

Again, Mosley and Cotto would be his toughest tests to this date.
A win over both could perhaps propel him in the TOP 50 ATG.

    - PBF has to prove his an ATG 50 because right now he is not.
-PBF has to prove that he is great welterweight, which he did not prove up to this point because his competition in that weightclass is awful.

Arguments like "PBF has nothing to prove" or "the fights are too risky" sound like laughable excuses and can't ba applied to a true ATG or the self proclaimed "fighter of all times".

What did Duran had to prove against Barkley or Leonard against Hagler as they had already at that time a greater legacy than PBF can ever dream of?

Before Mosley beat Margarito it was Mayweather HAVING to beat Margarito and Cotto to climb in status. Fact is, Mayweather DID try to make the fight with Mosley, it was Mosley who publicly turned it down to clear the way for Oscar De La Hoya and I'm a huge Mosley fan who fully admits and knows about this. When you say Mayweather has to beat Cotto, the same Cotto that got literally obliterated by someone in Margarito's class I can safely say you're running out of names or just throwing that name in to prove a point.

5 weight division world champion, 6 time world champion, P4P#1 for 2 consecutive years, undefeated, Lineal champion in three divisions, one of the greatest super featherweights in boxing and olympic Bronze medalist. So you're saying that he's not an ATG even after all of those obvious accomplishments in the sport because he didn't beat Cotto and a WAY past prime Mosley?, are you serious?

Fact is, even if he beats those guys you will still come up with him having to beat Williams and maybe even Cintron. Hell, if you are able to mention Cotto's name with a straight face then Cintron can also make it there.
