why cant we hold on to ALI forever??erm,we can.
we live in the modern age;all his great fights are available to watch, his tv appearances and countless books etc are easy to see.
give all that up for floyd?no way i ever will.

The dude said he just started watching boxing.. he's obviously not looked into Ali's resume or his great fights.
Those asshats are stepping over a golden line now, I really with all my heart hope that Hatton ****s him up.

If he beats Hatton convicingly, then beats Cotto and Williams i would put him as the greatest of all time!

I would rank RJJ ahead of PBF...2nd point why he can't be the best ever: he's not having the balls to face the best fighter but just persue the biggest purses but not the greatest, prime fighters f his time...

Name me one No.1 fighter in any division he fought at 140 and upwards - I can't remember one...

Baldomir was the no.1 rated WW when he fought him, many people had DLH as the no.1 JMW, and Hatton is the no.1 rated JWW(granted the fight is at WW, but he's still the no.1 JWW). So basically, after Dec. 8, he will have fought the no.1 WW, JMW, and JWW in succesion.

I don't see why people take what Mayweather says seriously, it's just him talking out of his ass again. :verysad

It would be so funny if Hatton makes him eat his words if he beats him. I know he's got a real task on his hands but I hope he can pull it off and then hand him a nice t-shirt after the fight with "Ricky Hatton kicked my ass" on it. I'd laugh so much. Go Ricky go!

So crappy wins over carlos 'top 100 welter of all time' baldomir, oscar 'over the hill,no stamina' de la hoya and a yet undecided fight against hatton qualify floyd as the greatest ever? Hell,if some of you guys ever studied the resumes of leonard, greb, charles, ali and others you would be in for a big shock....Totally ignorant and biased fan boys,if floyd gets beat by hatton ( watch this space.) then i expect all you fans to eat humble pie and feed pretty girl floyd with a doggy bag.......Floyd is an airhead with no class......Money cant buy class.......Hardly anyone even knows floyd as a boxer,he has no popularity worldwide like ali, leonard and others.....

It was just as ridiculous when Ali said he was the best ever but somehow that's accepted as common knowledge nowadays.

In all fairness when Ali/Cassius was shouting the odds about his greatness and how he was going to punish his apponents ---his performance in the ring very often matched the prefight threats that he made to his apponents-----this is a major problem with PBF"s record.

If he cleaned out guys like Cotto, Williams, and a few others, he would have a claim for a VERY high spot. He doesn't even need to go undefeated, he just needs to do it.
