Mayweather is a top geezer.

Theres no way they,ll let him escape if he is the goods. We,re on scalding mayweather but davis,s team looked everybit as shady. Mayweather for all the street talk is a bit of a pretender. They ll be guys behind the scenes...that will be the real deal. Just waiting in the wings...to take his money. That kid will end up broke. Wouldnt surprise me if all these things their buying the now...end up as a debt to him. They ll probably be paying the stuff up using guarantees paying off the lowest payment they can make. If they do cut him off he ll end up needing to pay most of it off. And yet he thinks its all paid for already. They ll have the money in their pocket. And a million other things like that.

The kid looks a little bit mentally challenged. He,ll probably walk away worse off than he started. I do genuinely hope mayweather does look out for him at least financially. But cant see it. They ll probably keep him going in a lavish lifestyle as long as he keeps winning and being happy with the setup. But when either of that stops he,ll probably find out...hes not nearly as rich as they ve led him to believe.

 

That's definitely a possibility Davis would be none the wiser. At the moment he'll do anything his idol says and sign anything handed to him in the belief that Floyd is there to help him especially with him saying Davis is like a son to him. I agree he doesn't look the sharpest, the way he was just laughing awkwardly in the build up when Floyd was doing his thing. Be a massive shame if he's exploited by his hero but wouldn't be overly surprised.

If Davis keeps winning which I imagine he will his ego wil grow and there's no way Floyd will ever step out of the limelight so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Can definitely see big disputes in the future

 

Hate? no... Dubious that Jnr hasn't got it in him to be genuinely nice and help out some ones career without him wanting too much back? yes...I just don't think hes a nice person. I think he views Davis as a toy/play thing !

 

Or showering him with gifts so he can get what he wants. Do you think if Gervonta was an average boxer Floyd would have done any of that?

If Davis has any sense he will leave Mayweather promotions at the fist sniff of major financial success, and form GTD promotions. That is the best thing he can learn from Mayweather.

TMT has given him the platform and the stage now he just has to get out at the right time.

Despite all of Mayweathers attention seeking, Gervonta seems to be striving and making progress. He also doesn't seem to be affected by it himself. Different boxers need different things and it seems like with all the stuff he's been though, a figure like Mayweather is just what he needed.

 

I agree. He even did that, when he was being asked about the McGregor fight. First time I saw Floyd not being an attention *****. Didn't think he was able to do that. Made him a bit more likable in my book.

 

WBA will not sanction Mayweather/McGregor fight, says that fight would only be an exhibition.......................
