Lopez was a great fighter. However, he wasn't as popular as Mayweather, didn't make as much money, and isn't rated as highly as Mayweather. So why exactly should Mayweather try to be like him? Guerrero is a dirty ass fighter who employed a bunch of dirty tricks on the inside against Berto. Mayweather wisely made sure that didn't happen.
No. No he didnt. Guerreros best infighting move was to hit Floyd on the back of the head and beat his fist against Floyd's side like he was trying to shake the dust out of a carpet. No. Guerrero doesnt have any good infighting abilities.
Im not saying floyd should be wreckless like napquiao but atleast be busier wih a jab, i feel that floyd could do more without being dumb, and floyd will always be placed above lopez, but to me lopez was a better fighter, watching finito was a thing of beauty
Guerrero's face says differently. Floyd was serving him up that two piece hot and spicy all night, and when Guerrero didn't have enough for the two piece, Floyd served him up the value menu special. Just admit it, Floyd is too good at boxing, Guerrero is the guy who took Berto through hell and high-waters but he couldn't do anything with Floyd, he found out in the clenches that Floyds defense was better AND that Floyd was physically stronger than Berto; something Im sure he wasn't expecting. Guerroro got self-concious about throwing punches because he under-estimated the counter punching ability of Mayweather, and when he got close, he got scared cause he knew how much stronger than him Mayweather was, so dirty inside tactics weren't going to work, that and the ref didn't allow for any spoiling. floyd tried his hand at dishing out man sized whoopings and didnt like the feel of the punches he took for his troubles. so, he made up with daddy and asked for his help in not geting hit. what you get is pot shoting and bear hugs. expect more of the same for his next fights.

Wooh you're taking it way too far there man. I am definately not racist. I have lots of black friends and i spend good time with them watching boxing. I accept the fact that mayweather is a genius and that hes head and shoulders better than everyone else buy i also think that he can do more. Look at guys like finito lopez leonard robinson. They were great boxers just like floyd buy they sure didnt hold all night and they sure did a little more on the offense. Like i said before, my favorite boxer of all time is Ricardo Lopez so you cant say i dont like good boxing because lopez is as pure of a boxer as anyone that have ever laced em up
