160 is a hard thing to say, we have never seen floyd at that weight and he hasn't even fought at 154 much so this is pretty stupid. He arguably didn't look his best at 154 and now he's fighting cotto at that weight so we need to see how that goes in this present time but 160 is a different league. Those guys are much bigger. Why doesn't ***** martinez go fight the best at 168 and get a big payday instead of calling out 147 fighter two divisions below him? floyd doesn't need to fight at 160 ever and he wont be disliked for not doing so. You forgot how many divisions this man has already gone through.
If he does it then he can make a case for being the greatest fighter of all time with a straight face. But only if he beats Martinez. If he ducks Martinez then he's not going to receive recognition/respect points.
Hagler Duran is one of the fights I watched this morning, it shows if a guy is talented guys can overcome weight differences. Sergio is not on Marvins level and Floyds defensive approach could keep him out of trouble for twelve if necessary. Floyd could do this!
atsch You realize that in order to fight for a title it has to be within the MW LIMIT, right? You can't fight for a title if you are over or under the limit which means if they agree to a catch weight of 150....the only title they could fight for is the Jr MW. The catch weight minimum would have to be 154.1 in order for it to be a MW title fight.:rofl You funny bobby.
