Even if Mayweather gets a 70/30 split vs Berto, wouldn't he still make more money if he were to go for the 50/50 split against Pac.

On a scale of 1-10, Berto presents a challenge of about a 1 to Floyd.

Guerrero is at least a 6, maybe higher than anybody in the game from 154 down.

I said this a week ago. If Berto wins and comes out healthy
he can take off 3 weeks and still have a full 8 week camp.

I would love to see this fight for the comedic value if nothing else.

    :-( Guerrerotard.

Oh my bad I thought u were joking foreal..LMAO...Look..Robert has a style that may give Floyd fits, but Robert doesnt deserve it and I dont wanna see a lightweight get a handout fight...I would like to see Robert run through Lamont, Khan, Lucas, Zab...he's so talented, he can run through them, then after that, go to ww, and beat the #3 fighter, then he would be in a position right behind Manny and Floyd, and Only then would I wanna see this fight...I dont wanna see Floyd fight a lightweight jumping in classes again...Its just bad for boxing...Ortiz fought the best...he had some wins, and some losses, but it all ended when he beat the crap out of Berto who was number 3....I wanna see Robert do what it takes, to get the fight, cuz I think he can potentially beat them all easily

:good I pretty much agree all around there.

Berto just doesn't really deserve a taste of the pie himself. Even if he avenges the loss to Ortiz, he would still be just one fight removed from a loss. (to a guy Mayweather KTFO cold, whether people want to talk about a sucker punch or not)

As much as I agree with you (Berto is more like a 3), Guererro hasn't really done anything to deserve the shot. Given, he's a multi-weight world champion and possesses some serious skills, but he hasn't had a single fight north of Lightweight. Berto is at least a two-time Welterweight champion with what would be a win over a previous Floyd opponent.

True...but at the same time, Berto would still be the #3ww, and the only elite ww for Floyd and Manny to fight...Floyd gotta fight someone, might as well fight the best in his division, and thats Pac, and Berto

2 fights removed. Although many would prefer to see Berto-Zavek 2 before Berto-Mayweather. I also want Guerrero to prove his shoulder is 100% in an actual fight.
Last thing I want to see is him fall behind and start rotating it.

Ah, how could I forget about Zaveck? :patsch

Yeah, I would definitely want to see him settle business with Zaveck before getting anything like a shot at Mayweather. After all, Ortiz is giving him a rematch - only right Zaveck be next in line for one.

    It doesn't make sense right?

Its because you assumed Floyd wanted to fight Pac in the first place.

Berto is notorious for having a zero fan base. They will end up giving tickets away for free to this one.The Ortiz-Berto fight is a box office disaster already.

Berto sucks. Hopefully Ortiz will beat him again.

Supposedly the flap isn't over exact percentage. Floyd wants to hire guys at a flat fee. Not all fights are made on a split.
