78sportstv recently mentioned it. Saying it's Conor's only winning scenario. I am going to have to concur with that assessment wholeheartedly.

Pretty brilliant actually if you think about it. The buzz and the money would be off the charts.

Conor's wins are fixed in MMA. Will they fix his boxing match also?

 

He will take the dive once he's tasted Conor's devastating punching power. No need to fix.

Floyd would never agree to the fight if it involved him having to take a dive which would damage his legacy.

Remember it was O'Connor that begged for the fight so everything would have to be o Floyd's terms. Not the other way round.

I think coasting and letting McGregor 'win' enough rounds to make it close and 'controversial' enough to set up a rematch is far more likely than an outright dive.

Well said. Could not have stated it better. Being an accountant and financial adviser and manager to a 3 trillion dollar hedge fund. Crunching the numbers..... to support his and his POW WOW's lifestyle for the next 1/4 century...he WILL certainly HAVE to take a dive.

Either that or start selling things off and reducing himself and his lifestyle to a normal tax paying robot peon.

I doubt it. Besides with all the BS that comes with being TBE, Floyd has too much respect for the sport and his legacy to take a dive.

 

Floyd as a person prides himself a lot on not losing. He cares about WINNING. Just like the guy in my avatar, just rolling over and losing for a few bucks isn't something he would do.
