1st off... I'm not trying to knock Pac & U can call me bias all you want but whether ppl agree or not Mayweather certain has the upperhand in the negotiations and here's why. Mayweather is an undefeated fighter who's won belts in multiple divisions and he's done it the right way. He's fought the champions during there reign & he's fought them at there weightclass not at a cathweight w/the title on the line or a made up title for the fight! He's fought & won belts from 130lbs-154lbs & he's fought the best or #1 guy in the division w/the exception of 140lbs where to other two top fighters wouldn't go near him! I personally can't blame them!! This guy has been a World Champion since 1998!! No opinion... Fact!!!

Now let's compare them as attractions!!! It's obvious who's the bigger attraction and it can't be denied! Pac is definitely a big attraction but he's still #2 compared to Mayweather! Mayweather has bigger #'s with & w/out common opponents!! Makes more $$$ per fight regardless of opponent so why wouldn't he expect more $$$??? I'm totally fine with a 50-50 split because I really want the fight but Mays definitely within his right to ask for more!

My question to all who think May is buggin or duckin cuz he wants more $$ what would you think if the shoe was on the other foot?? What if Pac had Floyd record, his #'s as far as PPV's and as far as purse?? What then?? What if Floyd refuse to take a blood test & came up w/the ridiculous excuse that Pac & his team came up with?? What if Floyd killed the fight because those weak ass excuses then all the sudden months later agreed to them?? What if the fights that launched Floyd into stardom were against two opponents Pac already beat both being much better than the versions Floyd fought & one of them was so weight drained it was unhealthy for him to even be in the ring that night! Here we are today & pac has went onto to win the real WW title again against the #1 WW in the world making $40mil & now not only having the hightest PPV, but also the highest outside of HW avg well over 1mil PPv's over his last 4fights regardless of who he fought!! You guys would be all over him!! You guys would think Mayweather was out of his mind to think he & Pac are on even $$!! You guys would expect & praise Pac for asking for more $$ & you would think it's well w/in his right!!

Everything I stated is fact not opinion so it can't be debated!! Now seriously... do you really think Mayweather & Pac are on the same Playing Field??? I want this fight bad & for the record I definitely prefer 55-45 because Pac has paid his dues but when you concede that Mayweather made more in 1 fight this year than Pac made all last year you just can't compare them!! That's like saying "yeah.. you make $20mil a fight & I make $40mil(2x;s more) but I'll take a pay cut & u take a pay raise!! That's fair!! Lol!!

Jump in & let's hear your thoughts!!(no nonsense pls)

Mayweather is definately the bigger draw, but 50/50 seems fair.

A question for everybody: Does anybody know why I cant make a thread or can help me with the problem?

The only reason I think Floyd should get more is because he fought Mosley (the guy that Roach and Manny openly ducked).

You're probably banned from making threads. It's happened to me before.

  6. Happened to me too. Not even sure why, all the threads I'd started were legitimate. Eventually I was able to start threads again, though.

I can see Mayweather asking for a little bit more of the share but 60/40? I think 53/47 or 52/48 somewhere around their would be fair for Money May.

This Mayweather/Pacquiao **** is getting real ****ing boring now. Why the hell do you care about such detail anyway.

Who honestly give's a **** about who get's how much. I mean seriously, it's not like you get the money.

I mean a fight of this magnitude should be 50/50 that's it. And be signed.

**** the fight till it's signed Imo. This is putting a cover over all other major fights and I for one can't wait for it to be over.

I certainly don't mind 50-50, but when u look at the #'s Mayweather is well w/in his right to ask for more just as Pac would be if the shoe was on the other foot! I bring up the money because it seems to be a hot topic when it comes to the fight!!

if you're quibbling over a 50/50 split when you're getting this much money period you're a ridiculously greedy ****. The fact that this fight is being delayed in part by a detail like this is actually embarassing to the sport. Casual fans and boxing outsiders don't understand why this fight isn't going down.... Meanwhile, the dedicated boxing fanbase can only shake it's head and try to explain the stupidity of boxing politics to their friends.

    1st Fact.

Pac beats lineal champ Sasakul, beats Ledwaba who many considered to be top dog at 122 at the time along with Larios, beats the perceived FW champ and Ring champ p4p 3 in MAB, beats JMM who was the legitimate champ at 130, beats Hatton who was the Ring and lineal champ at 140. So thats 5 titles in 5 different weight divisions. All 5 guys were considered to be the best in their division at the time Pac fought them.

PBF on the other hand beat Gatti & Baldomir at 140 and 147 for his title. Putting aside the Diaz & Cotto win, we put aside the Gatti & Baldo win as they really arent champion calibre fighters. So as you can see, PBF really only beat 3 respectable champs inn 3 different weight divisions, whereas Pac beat 5.

Your second paragraph is just bull****. First of all, Pac wouldnt be ***** enough to try draw blood before the fight even starts. Secondly, Pac is voted fighter of the decade, any non bias fan knows Pac has the better record. What Pac is doing now is equvalent to Floyd entering the super six and kicking ass...yes, it was perceived equally as ridiculous if you were to suggest Pac beats these top WW's just 2 years ago. BTW, it was and is perceived to be so ridiculous, or amazing, whichever way you wanna put it, that PBF and his fans think it can only be achieved by hgh, epo & a-side meth combined.

Also Floyd is not the much bigger draw as you would suggest. Their 2 fights which was pretty even in marquee value at the time they fought them, PBF-Hatton vs Pac-Hatton, the ppv numbers were very close. 850k vs 925k. Pac-Cotto vs PBF-Mosley, 1.25mil vs 1.5mil.

Given that Pac is the champ, the fighter of the decade, the one where if this fight wasnt to take place, Pac would ultimately be regarded as the greater fighter in the history books, I think 50-50 is fair. That is the price to pay for PBF having the chance to prove he is greater than Pac as Pac did all the work whilst PBF retired for 2 years.
