I think when you compare guys like DLH vs Pac/ Mayweather, Hatton vs Pac/ Mayweather, Mosley vs Pac/ mayweather, Jmm vs Pac III/ Mayweather (even though those numbers aren't in for III i'd say it'd still have to do around 1 mil)
    Pac did exceptionally well.
Mayweather fought DLH when DLH was at least considered good, Pac fought DLH and it was considered a brutal mismatch where DLH would knock his head off his shoulders.
Mayweather fougth Hatton when he was undefeated. Pac fought Hattton after Hatton got one win, and the loss to Mayweather before that.
Mayweather fought Mosley coming off the Margarito win, and Pac fought Mosley coming off a draw, and the loss to Mayweather.
I thought the Marquez numbers are going to be about even.

For Pac's 7 fights he did EXCEPTIONAL. A guy like Mayweather, who's a master at playing on the entertainment value, play the hated villian, build his opponents up, etc... To Pac who other than being funny.. Has no entertainment value outside of the ring, and is not hated (people simply watch him to fight).
Plus, people get to see Pac every 4 months. They see Floyd once a year. People aren't going to watch pac as much because he's something you can regulary see... Mayweather they don't get to see, forget how boring his last fight was (LOL), and then pay to watch him again.

i see what your saying and I respect that:thumbsup

But I just think theres enough money for both fightes to do a 50/50....CAN FLOYD ASK FOR AND GET A 52/48 KINDA SPLIT, GIVEN THE STATISTICAL PPV NUMBERS....

I THINK HE CAN ASK FOR A 52/48-I JUST THINK BOTH FIGHTERS SHOULD SETTLE ON A 50 50:good

    :patsch

divided by 7 is > divided by 5 :deal

Why is it a different story? I thought you are comparing Floyd and Pac's ppv buys.

It's a different story because they both started doing MUCH BIGGER #'S, STARTING WITH OSCAR:deal

PAC HAS HAD 7 FIGHTS, INCLUDING THE OSCAR FIGHT

    FLOYD HAS HAD 5 FIGHTS

    :deal

If I was a General Forum gimplord, I'd say Pac-JMM smoked Floyd-Ortiz so right now Pac is the new Cash Cow Of Boxing.

But I'm not a General Forum gimplord because I talk boxing, not finance, like the ppv turds on this thread are.

    For Mayweather
The Hatton number is low. The 850K number(or 920 according to you) is just domestic USA PPV buys, he shattered UK box office records with estimates from 1.2 to 1.4 Million by Sky.

    For Pacquiao
The JMM number is high(it hasn't been released)
The Mosley number hasn't been released(Bob Arum flapping his gums doesn't count)
The Pacquiao Cotto number is low by 50K
    Pacquiao-Clottey sold 700K
