Dels Hoya's greatest payday before Floyd was 1.4 mil.The Floyd fight was 2.4 mil. That's a 1 million ppv difference above DLH's best ppv performance. That is incredible and is not,"Dela Hoya's" ppv. That is theirs together,as Floyd "delivered" ppv big time in that fight.1 million more than any other DLH fight.Outside of the DLH fight Floyd has done 1.4 as well(and with another black fighter!!!! in 2010!!).

Also all of DLH's top ppv's were vs black fighters, including Trinidad. So should we discount Oscar's ppv successes as "not his" because all of his biggest ppv fights were vs blacks?

I tried giving PAC THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT ON THE JMM #'S TO AVOID CONFLICT FROM *******S-

FUKIN SUNNN MESSED THAT UP CUZ HE GETS PSYCHO WITH ANY ARGUMENT THAT IS NEGATIVE OR OWNS PACQUIAO

When it comes to "actual negotiations" THE OSCAR FIGHT WILL BE USED TO PROVIDE NUMBERS BY BOTH..

JUST CUZ "SUNNN" SAYS IT WONT' MEANS 0-IM SAYING THEY WILL USE THESE FIGURES TO DETERMINE A SPLIT-

WITH THAT SAID- I AGREE WITH A 50 50 SPLIT-

    do you have better #'s?

    These are what was released..............

They are more bias towards Pacquiao if anything as he has TWO FIGHTS THAT ARE "UNCONFIRMED"..

SO AGAIN-LETS TAKE THE NUMBERS RELEASED AND LOOK AT THOSE-:deal

DO YOU HAVE A MORE CREDIBLE SOURCE?

I'D BE HAPPY TO TAKE A LOOK AND CHANGE THESE #'S IF U DO:deal

oh boy, I'm just going to have to do it.
Why Not? It takes two to tango. Oscar hadn't done that well outside of them.
Creating an argument and backing it up with evidence, especially from a third neutral party is better than creating drivel in Excel and posting it here.

Actually the Tyson-Lewis-Holyfield Era extends into the 2000's. De La Hoya's era got started in the 1997 when him and Pernell Whittaker fought on a PPV that netted 720K buys. Colossal for the time. And it had definitely had started when he appeared with Tito Trinidad for a card that netted 1.4 Million PPV.
Yeah, and Sly Stallone appeared in 6 Rocky movies. The Miami Heat appeared in the NBA Finals last season. Mind telling me what that apparently means? I am taking it that you are trying to suggest that he didn't earn those PPVs and that it was entirely DLH.

If that's the case... Why didn't Pacquiao do the same Number with DLH? Why didn't Bernard do 2.4M with DLH? Why didn't Vargas do 2.4M with DLH? Why not Mosley? Why?

Your PPV numbers are off, on both guys, prior to the DLH fight neither guy broke 400K PPV.

Post DLH, Mayweather hasn't done less than 1 Million PPV, so mind telling me how his PPV average is below 1 Million.
    Your graph is ****.

I don't think you can make an accurate assumption on who draws more by just looking at the numbers, there are too many variables to consider i.e.

    1. Mayweather has only fought once per year for the last three years and boxed twice the year of De La Hoya and Hatton whereas Pacquaio has been more active boxing twice every year. This favors Mayweather as in numbers as people are more willing to watch a big star boxer if is appearances are one off type shows.

    2. Opponent has to be considered also, literally no general fans will know who Clottey is so that's why the numbers are **** poor compared to the others. Ortiz is similar so you gotta give Floyd props for holding that show up.

De La Hoyas markability had dropped since he fought Floyd due to a loss and a meager showing against Forbes plus as you said earlier Pacquaio wasn't the world star he is today despite being ranked P4P no 1. Hatton has lost his unbeaten record and Mosley was obviously way on the slide. Margaritto was having his first real fight basck after the hand-wrap scandals.

    3. Floyd is from the USA whereas Pacquaio is from the Phillipines, using American numbers is generally going to favor the American.

Now I'm not saying that Pacquaio is a bigger draw than Mayweather, I'm just saying that there are other variables that need to be considered when making a statement like this.
