"It ain't going to be no technical fight for Pac-Man because he ain't no technical fighter and Freddie Roach ain't technical himself. I'm not worried about that."

    hmm says...
I'm gonna get technical and say Roach is technically ill :D...
but seriously, joking aside, I would like to hear his reasons why he thinks that way. The way I see it, Pac has technical skill but it may not be the greatest but without a doubt he does have it. His use of feints to throw off his opponents rhythm to impose his punches is just one example....In addition, he's also a decent counter puncher as well........I remember his overhead right that rocked JMM, counter cross if you wanna call it that, and his one-two, right jab then left hook combo after his opponents duck.. it kOed Diaz and knockdown JMM and others ............ain't that technical/ technique?:huh

Both fighters are respectively technical in their own way. It may be overlooked and not the greatest. I'll just leave it at that.

I think Hatton is even more screwed now if Mayweather is underestimating Pac's technical ability

Technically he is right (when comparing Pacman with PBF and Roach with Roger Mayweather).

During round 9, Mayweather should jump into the ring and fight Roach just to prove his technical skills

..I also remember Roger saying in an interview pre-odlh fight..

He said something to this effect...

    " A lot of people think it's a mismatch. It's not " I think". " It is!" a mismatch!

    The rest is history...:yep

i woudlnt call him a technical fighter either- strictly speaking. he s got great technique- but i wouldnt classify him with winky, floyd and bernard.

hes more of an instinctive fighter- which isnt better or worse by the way. its what u do with ur gifts, not the gifts themselves. he s got amazing power and reflexes- and great instincts- to know when to attack and when to defend- who cares if he dosent have textbook technique- many fighters , great fighters dont.

funny floyd would say this- cos of all the fighters with ugly technique- hatton is at the top. he has a method tot he madness- no doubt. but it relies on so much bumping, grappling, leaning and holding- that it becomes more about what goes on between the punches than the punches themselves. i for one- dislike watching hatton fight. the fight with kostya broke my heart- cos not only did zoo lose- but he lost to a fighter who foht in such an ugly style. albeit with great heart.

i simply think manny wins IF he dosent revert to his wild trading , macho style of the past. i think hatton wins if he uses controlled aggression. both of these guys have hot temperments at times in the ring- that make them trade and lose technique. they are at their best offensively when they do this- but as we have seen , it often leaves them both exposed. the guy who keeps his head the best - wins the fight in my opinion.

hatton needs to stay in pacmans chest and make him fight off the backfoot all night
