could you stretch this weak argument out any thinner?

  2. Pacquiao also dropped Cotto with a right hook in the 3rd. Maybe he just has a good right hook? :-(

I don't think the point in time of the fight, when the first KD occurred, is relevant. Neither is the side from which Pacquiao delivered the first KD punch. Hatton was a come-forward fighter, all the time. Pacquiao just took advantage of that from the outset.

I figured some1 would say that .. but its true .. pac left hand is the money punch and he isn't like trinidad who is a switch hitter ... pac relies on the left ... he throws the right and it stuns people @ most ... he even knocked cotto down with a right but cotto was good it look to be a balance thing (before u say anything look @ the knockdown)... where the left hand rocked cotto ... I'm not taking anything away from pac ... its a legit k.d. but his right isnt lethal

What was he lineal in I have him at 126, 130, 140. All the same he lost at 126 and 130 to JMM for me, avoided Guzman from 122-135, didn't take on a top5 fighter at 135, didn't take on the young top dogs at 140, didn't take the no1 or no2 at 147 (FMJ and SSM)

It should be relevant when ur speaking about who fought a better hatton .. hatton walked through kostya tszyu right hand .. what I'm saying is that pacquiao hurt hatton bad with a right hand that's average .. kostya tszyu landed right hand bombs and stuns hatton but he walks thru it ... hatton wasn't the same ... the hatton that fought pac was worst than the jmm that fought may

what about when hatton was dropped by eamon maggee or stunned by jon thaxton, or what about the time luis collazo had him on the brink of stoppage was he finished then?

im guessing you haven't seen the fights im talking about.

He does .. it lands frequently .. but in terms of power I don't think so ... cotto was moving his back foot when he landed that punch and u see cotto lose his balance and his glove touch the floor ... he wasn't hurt .. was it a legit knockdown? Absolutely ... did he hurt cotto? No he didn't ... now his left hand ... that was a bomb and cotto was clearly hurt

  11. He was the lineal champion at flyweight also. Nobody cares if you thought Pacquiao lost to JMM, because he didn't. I thought the Lakers played better than the Celtics in game 5.

He took on THE top dog at 140, he took on a guy who recently beat SSM, and he tried to fight Mayweather but we all know that story.

actually that whole exchange was started with a counter right hand over Cotto's double jab that hurt Cotto and made him back away. Pacquiao was able to follow up before Cotto fully recovered from that counter right hand and knocked Cotto down with another right hand behind a 1-2.

Pac's right hand should not be underestimated. Of course its not as good as his left hand, but then again Pac's left hand is the best punch in the whole sport.

I suggested that it was debatable as to whether Mayweather fought a better Hatton than Pacquiao or not. Making comparisons with a bout that took two years before Hatton faced Mayweather and three and a half years prior to him meeting Pacquiao is not proof that Hatton was a better/worse fighter between the Mayweather and Pacquiao bouts. You are also failing to take styles into consideration and the nature of the first KD against Pacquiao, whereby Hatton hurled a left-hand, which missed by a country mile. Pacquiao's well timed right just helped Hatton to the floor.

Yours is not, by itself, sufficient argument to convince me that Hatton was better when he faced Mayweather.

The last line of your post is a new assertion and not one I fully understand.

And when was the last time Floyd KO'd an elite fighter other than Hatton? If you say Hatton was on a decline then it would be before he fought Floyd, not after.

Pac's quickness and angle is what drops Hatton with them right hooks, Hatton doesn't even see it coming. Kosta probably has more pop than Pac but it is the punches you don't see that puts you down.
