    Lol @ the yes men

    "Mmmmmm... OOoooo.. Good good, nice"

"Ooooohh... That jab.. oooo.. Look at that jab"

    "Oooh.. Defence superb.. yeah.. mmmmmm"

I'd be embarrased if I was Floyd and some dude was constantly geting an erection due to my pad work.

Looks like a couple a' guys playing paddycake.

    Meaningless.

Let's see what he's still got once he gets into the ring.

still sharp. floyd must make this ortiz fight just a walk in the park when he does this in the gym because it is already far different in the ring.

Looking sharper, doesn't seem to have lost speed at this stage, and still a month of training to go. Head movement looks really sharp for the point of his training camp he is at. Hopefully that little defensive segment with the return combination is what we will be seeing in a months time against Ortiz.

He looked a LOT smaller than ortiz and the press conference. i dont think hes all that big. Remember, Roger used to flight at light welter/welter,and is probably only slightly heavier now. Floyd doesnt look like a beast beside him.

    Impressive defense.
Will Roger work the mitts as a southpaw or is this just for the media?

The way I see the mitt work, is one it works on his conditioning. Also it keeps his muscles in shape so he can fight non stop with out tiring.
Then there's the muscle memory so he can get into exchanges and defend and counter w/o thinking about it.
I also think it's similar to Mosley's and Nazim's pole training

It gets Mayweather throwing punches and then has him receiving punches to keep him alert even when on the offensive

its weird, whenever I see Mayweather hit a bag or hit the bodyshield I think meh he has no intensity in his attack, getting old and slow, then he starts slipping and blocking stuff coming at him and it looks like wizardry, and suddenly his counters look sharp, too.

I think there is some show in that pad work that doesn't really have much practical application, but his reflexes for slipping and blocking still seem to be there. and yeah, he is not going to look very big next to Ortiz. Ortiz will be the bigger stronger guy, but that isn't everything.
