The public wanted Mayweather De La Hoya, they got it, they then wanted Mayweather Hatton, they got it! Mayweather then came back after 16 months off and beat the pound for pound number 2 in Marquez (who gave Pac Man hell by the way in both fights), he was criticised for not fighting a welterweight, so then he fights Mosley who had just looked good STOPPING Margarito, which PAC FAILED TO DO BY THE WAY, so Floyd pitches a near shut out against him! Give Mayweather some props here man, the guy is a 5 weight world champion, he is undefeated, he never fought for a vacant championship, he has never been dropped (officailly), he barely loses a round, and regardless of your personal OPINION, the guy is pure class in the ring!

But what can you do, Pacquiao is signed to fight Marquez, and Mayweather has chosen an aggressive southpaw...there are positives. 16 months out, against an aggressive opponent who is coming off of their best win in their career...you must not have watched boxing for very long. The drug testing is just an excuse for the fight not to happen. Floyd mayweather BEFORE retiring for the 1st time was UNDISPUTEDLY P4P best fighter. pacquio is just a good fighter whos was hyped by the media as boxing saviour: the man who could have beat mayweather if they fought. Mayweather came back and the media and pacquio's advisors dont want the truth to be exposed about him thats why the fight wont happen
It would be the highest generating money fight of all time. Alot of what you say is true, Mayweather would never lose to Pacquiao. Mayweather will retire undefeated, but at least squash this "Pacquiao would batter Mayweather" crap I read every day. Both go down in history as legends, but they need to fight each other so that we can prove who would have won just for the record, if pac beats Marquez next is does not mean that pac was better in the 2 previous fights, it means Pac cherry picks his opponents. He would never fight Marquez at the same weight as before because he knows Marquez has no chance at 144, but could beat him at a lower weight

But in the meantime, Victor Ortiz is the WBC champion, he beat Berto who many wanted Pac Man to fight, so now Floyd is fighting him! Mayweather will find a way to win, Pac Man will no doubt stop Marquez and after that ther is NO VALID REASON for them not to fight! There is literaly nobody left bar Martinez who neither of them will fight!

Im sure theyre saving the best for last. My patience is wearing thin about the megafight too, but boxing is a business after all they want to make the most money with the options they have. Even tho JMM might be labeled too old and Ortiz too green and clearly expected to lose I have to admit they will provide a much better show than Pacmans and Floyds previous fights. After this and supposing Pacman and Floyd do win as they are heavy favorites if the megafight doesnt happen then something or someone really doesnt want it to happen.
