Yes, he could have. Shame really. I don't like him and don't rate him as a great, but to be fair I would give him credit if he hadn't ****ed about and had tried to prove himself to the best of his potential. But most fighters throughout history have done same to be fair and ****ed themselves over.
Wlad is fighting a very dangerous undefeated fighter that is a couple inches and about 20 pounds bigger than him. Did I mention he is also older than Mayweather. That is what a real champion does; takes on the toughest, most deserving challenger.
You talk about margarito like he's a god "dared to be great" :rofl He was nothing more than a punching bag with loaded gloves. Baldomir was WBC & Ring champion.
If he's going to be paid as the best boxer in the world then he should act like it. Guaranteed 32 million for fighting Berto? If he's fighting for free then sure that's different,
Lets look deeper in those fights 130 Hernandez good opponent a champion but it his last fight,There are few good fights that should happen at this weight like freitas,a unification with garcia, casamayor he beat chico though a good win props to him even though chico has a bad camp that time and having trouble making weight. 135 fought castillo he lose this one clear, rematch him and beat so props to floyd, but he never fought any notable fight in this division even we had spadafora, johnston, dorin, freitas move up also instead he fought sosa, ndou, corley and the worst cherry pick bruseless cotto sparing partner 140 he fought the weakest champion a shot to pieces arturo gatti, never fought kotsya the man at 140 that time, a beast cotto, hatton and he fought mitchell 147 he fought judah after judah lost badly to a journey man baldomir, then fought the journeyman itself this was a stack division that time we got margarito, cotto, clottey, mosley, paul will, cintron, even collazo was at his best shape at this moment of time i think martinez was calling him out too 154 fought oscar past prime then he moves backdown at 147 and fight hatton unproven at this weight imo he lost to collazo.then floyd retire and let the top ww fight each other lol. Come back after retirement 147 fought a light weight marquez who never fought at this weight before. then fought older shot mosley, ortiz who only accomlishment at 147 is beating over hype berto, then fought cotto a good win, then fought guerrero a lightweight who only accomlishment at 147 is beating berto also, then a green canelo who never been in a big fight, maidana after he beat an overated broner, then he fought pac a good win but like floyd siaid he waited for right moment and after pac been ktfo.
No but at the time he would, have got a to lof credit for facing him ironically though it's a good win for Mosely to get a crack at f Floyd but yet For Floyd to fight him it would, have been meaningless oh the irony And I know what Belts Baldmior held yet that fight did nothing for his legacy so much so people in attendance walked out ..But nice try with that argument :hi:
Yeah...but! He fought Wepner 5 months after Foreman and then was back in the ring 2 months after that to fight Lyle and then was BACK in the ring a month after that to fight Bugner. 4 months after Bugner he was battling Frazier again. If Floyd was more active the Berto fight would be less of a let down. I'm a big Mayweather fan but it's hard to get into this fight.
If Margarito was as great a fighter as you claim he is then his career would of transpired a bit differently dont you think?
Hey **** boy he moved up to chase greatness. He wasn't a weight drainer like some of your heroes are.:deal
Oh brother like,I said you clowns give all the credit to Mosley for beating him when he did so you can justify Mayweathers fight with a shot Mosley but yet at the same time when it actually meant more it was meaningless for Floyd to fight Margarito .. Its official his fans are the greatest excuse makers of all time !!atsch
How does a fight with the lightly regarded WBO Champion (Margarito) matter more than defeating the lineal champion? Last I checked Floyd fought Baldy (lineal) and Judah (IBF) to become the true lineal champion. What did Margarito do at that time other than lose to Paul Williams and go life and death with Clottey?
:rofl did I ever say it would have been meaningless you moron? You said he didn't "dare to be great" learn the difference. At the time sure it would've been a good win because it was before he had gotten exposed to the public as a cheater. it would not have been a great win or done anything significant for his legacy. but if beating margarito is daring to be great then you have quite low standards pal. :hi: and what does people walking out during the fight have anything to do with it? that's your argument ?!!? :rofl
This content is protected Talked up some BS about how he never wanted to win a fight so bad in his life and then stunk up the joint and LOST. Floyd's a *****, and so are his low grade, low level fans. :deal
