Floyd wins those fights, I mean he already beat Cotto, SSM, ODLH…Margarito has zero chance, he follows Floyd around and loses a wide UD. Winky would be the most “competitive” but also the most boring.

Floyd would beat the list but he would lose to all the greats from the 80s. Floyd has major disadvantages against all four. Against SRL, he would be facing a faster boxer who had no fear of brawling if need be. Against Hagler, Floyd would have to be on his bicycle and hope he never gets caught in a corner. Hearns has a reach advantage and punching power of a light heavyweight. Duran would force Floyd to rethink his choice of profession.

I'd give Winky and Vernon the best shot. I see those as 50-50. Maybe DLH or Shane would do well/better at a lower weight than where they each faced him. But I agree that Floyd likely wins against most if not all.

He would lose to De La Hoya or realistically he'd rob him, unless Oscar is the A side

Then what version ? Don't these fantasy threads assume both fighters are prime unless stated otherwise

I think Mayweather's mobility, defence, IQ and footwork would cause problems for Hagler. Duran is a tough one, I can see a similar scenario to Duran V SRL in the 2nd fight.

Marg shouldn’t be on this list. As you stated, zero chance. He doesn’t have the footwork and doesn’t cut the ring. I don’t see how people can witness Cotto and Manny box circles around him with less boxing skill than Mayweather possesses… and think he’d give Floyd a loss.

And Marg only beat Cotto due to illegal hand wraps. Otherwise, Cotto wins the fight in a shutout.

Winky would have beaten any version of Floyd and Oscar.

The way he dominated Mosley and Trinidad was something. Years later Mosley had Floyd badly hurt twice and holding on for dear life.

The most problematic match ups for Mayweather IMO are.....

ODLH = A past it inactive ODLH gave Mayweather a competitive fight i think a prime ODLH could win a decision.

Forrest = Didn't see enough of him at top level but a 6'1 Welterweight with a punishing right hand and a very good jab would be problematic for Mayweather.

Wright = This fight would have to take place at 154 and without some catchweight BS I don't see Mayweather beating Wright in a legit fight at 154.

Oscar, Cotto, and Margarito are Floyd’s biggest threats here imo. Floyd had a lot of trouble with the Latin style (older versions of both Cotto and ODLH gave him fits as well as Maidana and Castillo) and Margarito in particular was that style amped up to 11. Winky has a good chance too just because of the size discrepancy between them.
