I think people look at how shitty Oscar looked at the weigh in and what he looked like in the ring and think that there was the clause. Didn't freddy say something like he could see the IV marks in Oscar's arm and knew they were gonna win the fight? that means Oscar could rehydrate?

Both cases are similar but the big difference is that the fight btwn PBF and Winky never happened! The re-hydration clause was not an issue it was money and Winky want a lot more of it than he was worth. Oscar was dehydrated because he went all the way down to 147 and looked like death:bart. ODLH had fought like 10-12 fights above 147 before he went back down . . . he had outgrown the division and went all the way to middleweight. when Winky and PBF were in talks Winky had 1 fight at 160 against Tito (who he shut out) and 100% of his career was at 154 before that. For Winky to make weight would not have been an issue.

It was a great win for Pac but I do not think any serious fan really thinks that was Oscar at his best weight or best period:deal. It was career defining fight for Pac and very well Managed by Top Rank, Bob is the best in the business at creating stars, like Oscar, Floyd, Cotto, and Pac. To bad Pac has not taken his cue from the others and left Uncle Bobs ass.

and do you even know why oscar was traing for 147? if you were a boxing fan back then, oscar was planning to rematch floyd at 147. so he started by taking a tune-up against forbes for a 150 fight. pac was just a back-up plan from oscar when floyd refused to figth oscar a 2nd time becasue of.. surprise.. another purse split issue.
