    Agree with all of that.

I am however one of the people writing off Ortiz. Not because I think he's bad I just think unless he's aged suddenly Mayweather is too good and Ortiz is too aggressive, slow (by copmparison) and open to Floyds counters.
Really looking forward to this fight. For some reason i think it will be entertaining.

  2. I thought he would only fight Mayweather at middleweight though? Therefore I don't think that's a better fight than Ortiz

Where did Martinez say that? Somehow, I doubt Martinez would refuse a fight with May at 154, considering how much money he'd leave on the table if he did.

Ortiz is a better opponent than both Marquez and post-mayweather Mosley

Martinez can make 154. Both Floyd and Pac have called themselves champions at 154.

the ortiz fight is at 160 i think.

ortiz is a great fighter. there is no doubting his energy, power, tenacity, chin and speed. he has all the tools to bring the fight to floyd.

add on to that the fact that floyd has been out for nearly 2 years and this makes a great challenge for floyd.

edit: oh I just chjecked. it is gonna be at 147 now

Hell, even Cotto would make a more intriguing match-up than Ortiz. Ortiz is good, but he's just not at that level yet.
