I agree. Moving up to fight Mayweather would not be a good move for Marquez. Marquez is a very skilled fighter but I'm not sure he is built to fight above 135. I wasn't even sure if he would be effective at 135 but he is surely proving himself.

:goodLegends are made in the ring, not on paper!:deal

Just look at Roy Jones now.....he priced himself out of big fights when he had the physical skills to get it done......

Mayweather Jr is following exactly in Jones Jrs. footsteps!

If emphatic KO's over fighters that had never been stopped before does'nt tell you that JMM is a legit lightweight, nothing will.

Listen, JMM is nobody's fool, he knows what he's getting into if he were to fight Mayweather.....he knows its a monumental task.....but the man also knows what he can do.....and he knows that at 35 years old time is running out and now is the time to secure himself financially......

For anyone, a Mayweather Jr. fight brings the most money to the table.....that includes Pac, Hatton, or whoever....

JMM wants, and deserves that one big payday he has never gotten.....by God if it take Mayweather to get it, bring it on!!!:deal

I've been a fight for 30 years, and without blinking I'm telling you that both Jrs have made a career out of pricing themselves out of big fights!!!!

Well 3 fights with Tarver ,Hopkins Toney ,Johnson and Ruiz hardly say anthing about the man pricing himself out of any fight ..And lets not forget the challenges to Hopkins the he turned down ..Outside of DM which is the only fight that people demanded Jones to fight who did he out price himself against ??????

Floyd is bigger, stronger and skills-wise is better but I see JMM as a better fighter than him. If they could fight at a catch weight below 140, JMM, IMHO will beat him.

I agree with you. I always thought JMM is a better fighter than Floyd. The Money man has a size advantage but if they would fight at a catch weight below 140, I think JMM will beat him.

Yaeh, he should give JMM a chance to beat him and he (Floyd) should prove to the world that he is truly the best p4p as he has been saying until now.

I personally think that the winner of MP/RH is more lucrative than a Mayweather fight.

    It really should be Pacquiao.

If Pacquiao somehow beats Hatton and Marquez again this year - Fighter of the year. If Marquez gets Pac or Hatton and wins - Fighter of the year.
