Next to Pacquiao it's the biggest money making fight out there. How can any of you say Martinez is going to be a big PPV fight after hes lost to Cintron and Williams? Thats like saying Margarito would be a big money fight. Yet Williams is not big money when Williams has beat Winky Wright, Martinez, Margarito, and might knock out Cintron next week? If he knocks out Cintron he immediately will become a household name, people will know who he is because hes on HBO enough to be known.

Whether or not he can make as much money as Pacquiao is not up for debate, but he will make more money than Berto and Martinez.

I really want to see Floyd move up to middleweight and take Martinez's crown.

If hes afraid of Paul Williams he better retire fast because Paul Williams is going to be the P4P #1 soon. And lets be realistic it's not like Paul Williams is unbeatable when he lost to Quintana and had a competitive fight with Martinez. Mayweather is just afraid of him, or thats how you posters make it seem when you say theres no way he will ever fight Williams.

Sergio arguably beat Paul Williams and Sergio is the lineal middleweight champ. Without being middleweight champ then I would agree that Paul Williams is a bigger money fight but that's not currently the case and a fight with Sergio would be far more lucrative with the added benefit of being much less risky to Floyd's long term health as well. Also, Sergio is 35 and has to decline sometime and Floyd has shown a liking recently for taking on fighters over the age of 35.

Too easy. Martinez probably wont even have the title if he rematches Paul Williams. So where is Mayweather going to go?

I'm sorry to say that I don't see Mayweather/Pacquiao happening.

The thing is, none of these fights are easy for Mayweather. They all present different challenges and are much lower reward (financially and legacy-wise) than Mayweather/Pacquiao. Martinez is the highest reward, but high, high risk. Berto is a lower-risk proposition, but the casual fan may not even know who Berto is! We might see him just take on a few cup-cakes and then retire.

    I don't see Floyd moving to 154 fighting Maravilla/williams..
and Williams on 147?? I don't buy that ****.. he's too skinny/tall/reachy(?) for that weight...

Thats ridiculous. Nobody is going to pay to watch Mayweather beat up on a guy who doesn't stand a chance. Who has Martinez beat to make him good enough to fight Mayweather or to even be considered? Martinez can beat Pavlik but he can't beat Paul Williams, Floyd Mayweather, Kermit Cintron. I like Martinez just as much as anybody but he'd get beat up worse than Mosley.

The only fights left for Floyd that make sense is Pacquiao and Williams. Lets just be honest about it, sure he can beat up on these other guys like Berto but nobody is going to pay to see him do that because lets be honest hes boring to watch in the ring.

After seeing this? Pac is not going to want any. I say Berto, a young lion, gets it.

If he retires after fighting Williams, and if somehow he manages to beat Williams then he can claim to be one of the top 5 greatest boxers of all time and people wont ridicule him for saying that. But he has to take on a tall difficult fighter. Sugar Ray Leonard took on Hearns without fear and it was a huge fight.

Berto got schooled and caught clean by Collazo, Floyd would destroy Berto.

I'd rather see him fight Bradley than Berto. Berto has absolutely nothing to bring to the fight skillwise except for speed.

What is risky about Sergio for Floyd? He's a super quick puncher with not much power to speak of who doesn't throw many combinations and has very poor boxing technique. He gets by quite well because he's a great athlete and relies on it almost entirely for both his offense and defense.

pac and its a must fight. but wouldn't mind seeing him in the ring with Williams at 154. But knowing floyd, he would make williams go down at 147.
