marquez is taller than pac but he is not currently bigger. maybe some years ago when both are still featherweights. and we are talking about how fighters are settled on the weight. floyd would be fighting jmm at 144, a weight where we don't know how he would take the additional pounds. jmm has good wins at 135 but even at that weight we have seen him struggled before winning. what more at a higher weight fighting a well-settled floyd at a fight near 147? bottom line is floyd's resume is very good, but it could have been better. much much better if he had gone straight to the best welterweights after the hatton fight. beating jmm, even decisively, is not much of an accomplishment compared to beating cotto or mosley because he is not fighting jmm at his best weight.
