His #1 quality, Floyd don't ruin his body between fights.

Hatton dropped dozens of pounds in every training camp. I'd say he trained pretty darn intensely.

Floyd also has insane natural metabolism, he has the metabolism of a teenager, still.

I agree with the life style elements in favor of Floyd but there are 2 more explanations

Floyd trains consistently hard for every fight and has the mental focus for each fight he is not distracted by the crowd, the event, the cameras, the press the money he lives in the spotlight and never loses site of the mission

he always takes his opponents to utmost seriousness something Klitschko who was mentioned earlier does as well. Lots of great fighters or could have beens worked extremely hard in the gym but not for every fight and it costed them or the mental focus part got sidetracked by drugs and other vices

    Floyd is always prepared fully

2nd point Floyd works hard sure but so do lots of fighters. Floyd works smart. Many fighters work hard but thats in their fight vs the scale. Floyd is in shape year round, his camps arent dedicated to getting him down to weight or in lay off shape to fight shape but already great shape to fight shape

many guys spend long stretches of camp and focus on the pounds and the condiitiong I imagine Floyd has so much time in camp freed up to spar and drill his techniques and combinations to go over strategy to talk about his opponent.

What separates floyd is he stays in shape out of camp year round and doesn't eat like a fatass or drink/do drugs. With no fight in the future he will still go to the gym, put in miles, work out etc

All elite boxers put in brutal training camps, but when the fight is over they go eat and party for weeks ruining their bodies.

Before I knew any better, I always thought that MOST boxers were in the gym all the time, even outside of camps. Especially if you're looking to be 100% focused and sharp physically and mentally.

Long lay offs from training = having to gain it all back at the expense of skill training. And it's not true that you can be at the threshold of your physical and mental limits when you're not consistently training, only doing so for a couple month long training camps.

There are those who are 'in the zone' all the time like Mayweather, where training, not just the actual boxing, is their job. A lot of these other dudes are part-time workers.

On the side, are you people serious about Bradley gaining 20 pounds between fights? How in the hell does a professional athlete's weight balloon that much, is this guy eating at McDonalds everyday? When I took a 9 month layoff from training, I gained like 5 pounds, not 20.

I think Floyd is a genetic freak.

In 24/7 Mayweather v Mosley they tried to get a urine sample from Floyd but he couldn't take a **** for hours after training. The dude must retain like 100% of fluids he takes in or something.

I agree with everything exept the Klinchko part.

I've never seen Floyd tired in the ring or napping on the canvas.

Mayweather works HARD on his defense:deal:deal:deal

It's is the hardest thing to learn about boxing...few fighters have the HEART to master it..

I see fighters that can't slip a punch.... swinging sledge-hammers and flipping truck tires when they should be applying all that energy toward defense.
