RJJ didn't work too hard on his defense did he..??

    Not hard at all.

He relied on natural ability instead of hard as.s work...:deal:deal:deal

It takes toil and trouble to remove the bad habits that seperate good fighters from great ones.

RJJ never learn to fight off the ropes....or on the inside...he was a hop in and grab mofo with power and speed.

He never learned the subtleties of the game because he was too fu.ckin lazy and full of himself:hi:

Jones didn't work on defense  there are countless stories about him working on defense his fatrher would have him spar heavy weights with with one hand tied behind his back..Rjj never learned to ever fight off the ropes

You don't become a stand out in the olympics with out learning the basics .But why argue with you *****s according to you Floyd invented boxing and training !:patsch

You Planktards and your boxing stories:lol:
He should have sparred middleweights with one hand tied behind his back...that would have helped him a LOT more.

Jones couldn't fight off the ropes....I'm not making this up...and being an olympic standout doesn't wash-away flaws.

RJJ never learned the intricate details of the sport..

He was spoiled by his natural ability and was too lazy and conceited to work harder on his game..:hi:

how does this set him apart from froch? if anything his work ethic is even more impressive, given he only has a fraction of mayweather's natural talent.

Floyd is the better boxer of the two... But Roy Jones beats Floyd in a head to head matchup (lb for lb of course)

More to that - Floyd does not take punishment in the ring, ally that to his fitness regime and we get closer to the reason for his longevity and constant improvement.

desert storm puts in that work. but i think they all do to be honest. some more then others but floyd does it in away to where he does not over train himself which i think is important. some rookies in the gym will try to kill them selfs trying hard work dedication.

The second RJJ slowed down he got KTFO because he didn't learn those cagey tricks to survive that even guys like Paul Malinaggi have mastered.

He relied on his reflexes ...when they faded....he was a sitting duck:deal

    Why hasn't Hopkins been KTFO...??

He's older than Jones with less power.

It's because Hopkins learned those old survival tricks...when he gets hurt he knows how to weather the storm....and he's not a lazy mofo in the gym.

    Jones SLEEPS through storms nowadays..

The above has nothing to do with your original points.

You said that Roy was lazy, and that he wasn't dedicated.

    You're wrong on both accounts.

He relied heavily on speed and reflexes, and he fights in a different style to Hopkins etc.

But that doesn't mean that he didn't dedicate himself.

RJJ is not as dedicated as Hopkins.

RJJ is like Earl Campbell...he relies on his natural gifts.

Floyd is like Walter Payton.....he has natural gifts and an insane work ethic to compliment them.

    Compared to Mayweather....Hopkins....Bradley....ect ect

    Jones is a lazy as.s mofo...and hard headed as a woman...you can't tell him shi.t.

He is DELUSIONAL and swears up and down he can still win a title...HE DIDN'T JUST GET THAT WAY OVERNIGHT.

    He's ALWAYS been like that:deal:deal:deal
