Mazzagatti Wont Ref Couture/Lesnar

    In Brock Lesnar's UFC debut, he took Frank Mir to the ground immediately and pounded him furiously. But just when Lesnar looked like he might be on his way to a quick TKO, referee Steve Mazzagatti stood them up, saying Lesnar had committed a foul. Shortly after the stand-up, Mir used his superior jiu jitsu to submit Lesnar with a knee bar. Now Lesnar says he doesn't want Mazzagatti to ref his fight with Randy Couture at UFC 91, and Mazzagatti says he's fine with that:

    I dont care much for Herb I hope it isnt him I like Lavinge although his most memorable moment is tripping and falling on his ass in the Ortiz-Machida fight.

    Lesnar was punching the back of the head, it WAS a foul what should he have done? Look the other way because it was Lesnar?

    Mir turned his head at the same time that Lesnar punched. If anything it should have been a warning and the two fighters stood up.

    Mazza is fine by me. He did nothing wrong in the Lesner vs Mir fight.

    Whether he took a point or not Lesnar still lost by sub so what is hebitching about?
