Willies been a fine ambassador for scottish boxing, but hes seen better days. Lee will beat Limond, its as simple as that. Too young, too fast, too strong for Willie, & I say that with all due respect to Limond as he is a man I have great respect for. However, this is a boxing forum for debate, & I just tell it like it is. Limond wont win this one Billy, hes on the way down & Lee Mc is on the way up. Dont let your heart rule your head by letting this fight happen. Cos its only gonna have a sad ending for you & Willie if you do.

dunk i understand your a fan of Lee's mate, but personally i don't see the fight happening with willie,theres no chance Lee would beat willie limond on that performance or any other that ive seen of him,for Lee to say he's the best boxer to come out of scotland since scott harrison is just stupid,if you make statements like that you need to back them up with performances,theres really only one fight for Lee and thats WL,but you know and i know that aint going to happen.how can you suggest limonds on the way down dunky,you need to get your lazy ass to my gym mate your thought process will change very quickly ha ha:yep ps.Lee's a real nice honest guy who spoke to me on friday after his fight and i wish him all the best in his career.
Thats where you are wrong Billy, Im not a fan of Lee as such, he just happens to be a scottish fighter & I am a fan of all scottish fighters. Theres no bias from me when it comes to scottish fighters, I just say it how I see it. Put it this way, if Willie fought Lee, Willie is from my neck of the woods, supports the Thistle like I do, do you really think I could ever cheer against him?:deal Course I couldnt. I am consistent when I say I hate scotsman v scotsman bouts, cos I just want to see all our fighters do well. Anyway, enough of my ESB history, onto the main subject. ALL I am saying is, I was at Limonds last fight, he took on a guy who turned up at under 24 hours notice, & Willie couldnt do a thing against him. Like it or not, Willies on a poor run of form Billy, add to that the fact hes getting older & the fact hes not willing to step up again unless hes handsomely paid for taking a risk? All these factors point to a man who is on the way down, compare that to Lee McAllister, who like Limond stepped up a level a bit too early(Arthur & Murray) but lee has found a fine trainer in Coldwell & is now just beginning to realise his huge potential, whereas Limond has steadily declined in stature & ambition after his classic fight with Amir Khan.(dare I say Billy, you pulled Limond out too early? just a thought) As I say, I got big respect for you, your gym & everything else. However, I have never posted here to make friends, I have always posted here to straight talk about boxing. & as scottish boxing is my passion? You & I will always be on a collision course, as I dont get starstruck like most others on here & thats the truth.
willie fought a journeyman in his last fight through no fault of his own and gave weight away,willie boxed superb against him, i honestly dont think he could have been hit by more than 6 punches in the fight,beleive me dunky if Lee 's people offered Willie the fight he would bite there hands off and take the title,as far as i was aware dunky Lee's dad trains him and dave works the corner for the fights,the bottom line is mate get the FIGHT ON! and you will be on here praising WL coz imo him and John Murry are the best two LW's in the country now that would be a very tough fight.And with regards me pulling Limond out the Amir Khan fight early your talking nonsense,i have a responsibility to protect my fighter and thats what i done.take it easy dunky:bbb
Two scotsmen having an argument, come on now boys Right this is how I see it, Lee wasnt great the other night there, but he admitted it straight away himself. Willie didnt look that good either in his last outing. But one fight doesnt mean too much cause they both won anyway. Who do I think would win if they fought:huh mmmm, I would go with Lee, it would be a good fight, but at some stage his greater power would take Willie out I reckon. Dont get me wrong, Willie is a great kid and a nice boxer, but I'm the same as Dunky in that I lay it on the line, Lee would win. Keep up the good work
the thing is weres this power coming from,the two guys he stopped before last friday are nowere near the ability of limond,you only go over if your hit or haven't got the skills not to get hit,i respect lee as a fighter but also i know limond would beat him comfortably,for you to say willie never boxed well in his last fight is unbelievable.but there we go ha ha
Well, opinions big man, they vary eh. Willies good but I just think Lee would handle him, would be happily proved wrong though. not that it would happen anyway.

Totally mate, they are taking Lee as his last outing, silly really, one fight when he wasnt at this best, but the guy didnt try and hide it, most people on here think Limond wins, which is their opinion and are welcome to it. But I'm like you, I think Lee could go onto better things, and has the style to beat Willie. I fear Willie has missed the boat a bit, he aint getting any younger so needs to take chances. He should get super fit and just tick over and hope something comes his way, thats the only way to do it, cause I think he aint gonna get offered title fights and have a full 10-12 weeks notice. His big chance was Khan, and he so nearly took it, and even now I still see it in the newspapers that he wants to fight Khan again, but if he couldnt beat him then, he wont beat him now, Khan would stay back and dive in with is fast raiding tactics to finish it. I wish Willie all the best though, he is a good lad.:thumbsup
