Never mind found it- from news.boxrec.com The “Aberdeen Assassin” Lee McAllister has had to withdraw from the David Haye - John Ruiz undercard at the MEN arena on April 3, due to a ligament injury sustained in sparring in preparation for his Commonwealth lightweight title defence against Ben Murphy. McAllister is, to use that boxing cliché “totally gutted” at this hiccup, in that being featured on the undercard of such a massive television event would have given the Aberdonian the level of world wide exposure all boxers crave.
Not a big deal. It was purely for the hardcore fans. Put Rhodes against Moore at 160. Let's see some ****ing interesting fights. They are feeding us ****. The main event is a fight where 99.9% of people expect the champ to win. It's a terribly boring opponent who is probably the worst champ of all time. The undercard is FNF material. Step it the **** up.
Couldn't agree more. The main event is more or less a forgone conclusion in manys eyes so the undercard should be stacked. This is a Khan-esc ppv which is supplying no value for money.
I might be the only one, but I'm really disappointed about this. Having bought my ticket the day it went on slae I was then overjoyed to find out that Lee was on the card, regardless of who he was fighting, as I am big fan of his and have been following him for a few years now.
Listening to Mr Warren? He isn't the worst heavyweight champ of all time. His opponent wasn't that bad either. Would have been a decent test for Lee IMO.
Possibly. The likes of Seldon and Akinwande are up there though :yep I think Lee would have won, but he would have had to work for the full 12 rounds :good
This is a horrible undercard for PPV. I don't mind coz I'm going and am happy to see the likes of Moore and Quigley out in what are decent keep busy fights but other then the George Groves fight there is nothing that warrants a place on a PPV card. This is a horror of a PPV card and even more disapointing coming from Hayemaker who always preach the need for better cards surely they could borrow a Hatton or Maloney fighter.
