mckloskey has a very weak punch and so his only chance would be to win by decision and he struggled against prescott who isnt a very technical boxer he is awkward yes, but khan was 6 - 0 up after 6 maidana would ko him in under 5 and he only just scrapped a decision over the average prescott (helped by the fact that it was held in Belfast)
McCloskey is tough and Maidana is wild. Maidana is better than Prescott but either way, Maidana should win. McCloskeys got skills and he is slippery but he is just above European level with his skills. I don't think he would beat Bradley, Khan, Judah, Mathysse, Kotelnik and the rest of the top 10, maybe even 15.
Maidana would put a severe beating on McCloskey. I hope this fight doesn't happen next as i would rather see Maidana fight Morales,Khan,Bradley or Matthysse.
If he fights Maidana then McCloskey deserves credit. He could look to get a cheap win over a faded name, but he has some grit.
This is true, I don't like McCloskey very much and felt he lost to Prescott but he deserves credit if he fights Maidana.
Even though i thought he lost (and it was close), he showed a lot of guts and desire coming on the way he did. He was more aggressive and bullied Prescott at times. It was an entertaining fight.
