We also do that type of pad work. Thats basic stuff those Russian guys are doing. Thats also standard.

    really?

i have never seen coach rick do anything like it
and its not that basic cause of the footwork, while a lot of
rick's stuff is very much stationary.

also the russian guy lets the kid do the punching
not meet him half way with the pads

Coach Rick is not my only trainer. That pad work the Russians are doing is SUPER basic stuff. If you have ever trained in any legit boxing gym you would know that.

Have you ever trained with Coach Rick? Because if your basing your opinion on what you see in youtube videos your way off. Why would he post everything he does on youtube for free? Thats just a sneak peak.

yes i have boxed for over 10 years, and also grappled for 4 years.

i have trained with the olympic head coaches of Romania, canada.
i have also trained davey hilton(former world champ),carlos varlea sr who trained alexis arguello.
clyde gray who fought for the world title 3 times in the 70's, etc, and a bit with a russian coach and a canadian and serbian trainer

so i have been around for a lot more then 2 years.
and yes i know the russian kid is doing basic stuff, but then again he has to actually reach the target, and he is moving around and not standing on one spot

and you didnt answer about that the pad work
with coach rick, where he is doing more punching then you are

do you even know what i mean here.

i like how he works your reflexes and gets you punch in bunches
but i dont like the fact your not really punching
because he meets your punch half way,

no one will meet your punch half way with their face

and how have you trained with so many people in 2 years?

and what are rick's boxing achievements?

The video says that was my first session with him. The video is also only 2-3 minutes and I worked 2 hours with him. This portion of the session was muscle reflex. As far as him reaching towards me that was part of the drill.

We also do generic (the Russian video) pad work for power punching etc where as he does not meet his fighters half way.

and how have you trained with so many people in 2 years?
Because all those fighters are from Philadelphia. My main trainer is Mike Cassell who knows all those fighters. We all trained at Fighting City and various North Philadelphia gyms. If you look through my old threads you will see photos, me with various fighters at my gym training.

and what are rick's boxing achievements?
I do not know Rick very well but currently he trains Tyrone Brunson 21-2 (20KOs) and Raymond Serrano 18-0 (8KO's) who is the main event on ESPN in a few weeks for a belt. He also has many State and National Golden Glove champs.

that makes sense about you having been training with so many different guys

but as far as the pad work goes, its good that he does
'generic" or as i would say PROPER padwork

i didnt know he trained those guys

but going back to the padwork style he usually does
i remember emanuel steward saying that too many american trainers do this
    "meeting half way thing"
and a lot of young fighters never really learn to fully extend their punches.

he compared how devon alexander punches with tommy hearns to make his point

also this "generic" padwork is not meant for power its main thing is the full extension of the punch and distance, able to to judge your distance and knowing when to hit,
because again you have to reach the target, not the other way around..
    thats the explation i got.
