ok you newspaper journos. you read esb. you know the score on why paul briggs got the sack from comentary. because of the mundine influence... you also realise that briggs has many supporters here because he brings a good, experienced, impartial commentary, and people respect him and like to listen to him. so. can you blokes do anything to help his cause? do you care enough abour boxing to write an article stating fan support for his commentary? youve gotta write something everyday anyway. so how bout a boxing commentary article? it could include old tv ringside popular commentators, as an example... go on, delve into a bit of history....help boxing fans, change the boxing environment, and use this topic idea.... .
I understand that Mundine brings alot of money to Main Event , and how they would like to protect this by looking after Mundine but i wouldnt think that just because of this Choc can "ban" commentators from his fights...if anything you would think Main Event hold the power in the relationship , without them where is Choc going to broadcast his fights..NITV ??
Double edged sword, hes a cash cow for them so they'd want to keep him happy. Makes you wonder though, can you imagine HBOs Larry Merchants post fight interviews with him if Choc started up?
Mainevent are a bunch of useless ****s, they sit back and let him fight any bum he wants, the USA networks make sure their fighters have decent opposition before they agree to televise the fight.

Most know that Paul Upham got the same treatment from Mundine fights because of similar remarks 4 years ago. A little bird told me that M.E. asked for Briggs & Khoder said "No" Then Main event said "OK, we'll have Paul Upham back, which is it" Hence the 4 year exile ended.
yeh i remember that.we used to have a poster here called Gavin Stone who was extremly upset and posted a dozen threads about the injustice and his disgust at pauls opinion.of course when they actually fought paul was proven wrong and choc was better but it was just his opinion why catch feelings over it. anyway i think its just mundine fights he is barred from i think and now he is taking the choc show to america it wont matter.and briggs will be back on the team.
