Just rewatched the whole fight again with no sound. R1 GGG, R2 Canelo, R3 GGG, R4 GGG, R5 Canelo, R6 Canelo, R7 Canelo, R8 GGG, R9 Canelo, R10 GGG, R11 GGG, R12 GGG Result GGG 115 Canelo 113
this fight reminds me a bit of kovalev-ward. i was rooting for kova and thought he got robbed in the first fight. but the second fight kova got beat when the fight got too hot to handle. and i really disliked ward, still do. canelo took it to ggg, then took it to him again, till ggg started to get really uncomfortable as canelo kept begging for the work. it took a solid beating before ggg started to wake up, but canelo had already taken ownership of that ring. ggg lost, took a beating and will be putting some 'respek' on cinnamons name from now on. and ive been crapping on canelo for a couple years now, but he won this fight and did it like a frickin boss.
Gotta give big props to Canelo for his win Saturday night. He stood his ground and fought his fight. While I thought draw was more appropriate this fight moreso than the first, cannot complain about a Canelo win.
The Fury fight is not short notice nor has Fury been inactive. This will be his 3rd fight inside a year. Also, why did people give Ward so much grief for having several tunes ups after moving up to 175 after almost 3 years of inactivity. People wanted him to fight Kovalev straight out.
I had 7 GGG rounds, 2 Canelo rounds and 3 swing rounds that could have gone either way. I cant see how Canelo could win this. All the crap that guys were spouting about Canelo the first time round "he made Golovkin miss" and "he landed the harder more crunshing shots" you can say about Golovkin. It's hilarious how the first time round the Canelitas were all "it doesn't matter that Canelo was going backwards" but now they're blowing their wads because he actually stood his ground like a boxer should do. Simply put, if you switched their skins around and it was Canelo defending his titles and he fought Golovkin's fight, he probably would have won 9-3.
Na. Canelos defense played dividends for his victory Saturday night, along the counter punches and body shots he landed throughout the fight. zGgg Fought really well but Canelo showed him true Mexican style last Saturday night and he fell short. Deal with it
GGG was raping Drugnelo w/ heavy jabs, brutal hooks, and vicious uppercuts. GGG cut him and hurt him BADLY in the 10th. GGG was definitely the victor.
