Also, if there are actually any boxers on here, am honestly not sure. Who would have taken a knee in Kali's situation? In my humble, not a boxer, opinion it would have been the best option after getting rocked?
And my original point was - throw the sexy boxing imposter in with a fit and firing Walker. Ippy might say De Mori would take the fight, but when the rubber hit's the road, there's no way he would. De Mori and his sexy boxing will stick to fighting 42yr washed up fighters who boast 5 losses in their last 7 bouts, only 1 of those throughtout 2011 and the two wins he did have were against fighters boasting 14-24 and 9-14 win/loss records! Superb quality their both aiming for (cough) and worthy of boasting about on sexy boxing's fight CV and Ipswich's matchmaking credentials. The irony is they'll both pat themselves on the back post-bout on how well they both went!
As if you could blame anyone for a second for thinking that. It's unerringly consistent with this >>> http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=237842&cat=boxer atsch
You seem quite worked up mate for some reason, can't quite put my finger on why that is. Mark accepted the fight and Kali informed the promoter he'd tell him post Walker. Who knows where all that stands now. As for throwing him in with Walker, Mark would take that fight too. I doubt the money available to Travis to fight Mark would be comparable to the money that would be on offer to return against Meehan or Leapai.
not sure what a fight vs mark does for kali anyway tbh. i think there r others that make more sense for kali imo. maybe one of the younger ranked fighters who think they can use kali as a keep busy fight while facing a reasonable name at the same time. maybe a boystov etc.
alex has tried to rematch the bum, and alex is and was rated way higher. degutless refused....so yes, defraud has declined 'someone'...
As would have Kali Meehan. Meehan's chin the other night was bloody amazing. The referee should have stopped it half a dozen punches earlier. But Kali looked like he could have stood there for another 10 minutes, all be it nearly unconscious.
I agree 100% the ref should have stopped it half a dozen punches. Meehan was taking way too many unnecessary punches without protecting himself. Boxers safety must be number 1 priority.
and someone here said kali can't take a punch anymore, pmsl. he took 60 power shots vs rahman and still didn't go down ffs. it only took one to put lennox lewis in lala land.
