I mean you still manage to dance circles around Mendoza in the debates I've seen on Boxing Scene, so you're more cognitively sound than someone in his 30s or 40s. A regular Jem Mace!
Klompton, Mendoza claims to have all kinds of footage like 27 minutes of the Corbett-Fitzsimmons fight but he never bothered showing anything. Klompton is probably the most reputable fight film collector\restorationist alive right now, he has a lot of footage of fighters like Jeff Smith, Gypsy Joe Harris, also claims to have the longest version of Corbett-Fitz currently available and unlike Mendoza he uploaded proof; This content is protected This footage wasn't available online before it was uploaded. He has all kinds of footage like this, but is adamant about never releasing it.
That’s sad imagine being that much of a loser you sit on film for decades just to say you’re the only guy that has it. I wish he gets his footage seized and released
Klompton,he pays for rare footage, and so is entitled to decide who views it. He caught Mendoza out in a lie,Mendoza said an unnamed source had told him he had Greb fight footage, Klompton called BS on it and said all he needed was the serial number of any film to verify its authenticity. Mendoza said ,"you don't know what film is out there ,"and swiftly dropped the subject.
Probably best to let sleeping dogs lie,I only responded to this thread to set the facts out there. It's done and dusted now,and not relevant to present discussions .
Obviously we don't know what politics he has to navigate to get the footage, but if it was given to me with no strings attached, I would share it with the world.
A shameless duck. The commission has since stripped Mendoza of his ADHD strap and awarded it to the next top contender, BF2002 who has defended it admirably about 300 times this week.
He watched the amateur game much more keenly than most of us, and it is fair to say that he was good at picking future professional prospects. To be honest, that was the only area where I listened to him.
