    Bogus how?

The human brain is extremely complex.

It’s not as simple as saying that a person with mental health issues is weak.

Wlad did come back. And he deserves credit for that.

Tyson did psyche him out though.

Lol, man who has poor focus, is a substance abuser and has mental problems is "mentally strong".

    Strong
    - Fernando Vargas
    - Micky Ward
    - Andre Ward
    - Carl Froch
    - Salido
    - Floyd Mayweather
    - Pac
    - Margarito
    - Kassim Ouma
    - Deontay Wilder

Weak (I use that term relatively. Obviously they are still mentally strong)
    - Cintron
    - Panchito Bojado
    - Mike Anchando
    - Hamer
    - Kevin Johnson

And I hate to list him but I have to...

I always felt Miguel Cotto lacked top tier mental toughness. Obviously the man is very tough, but at that elite level I think hes lacking in that department.

    ...

    Just imo

    Think before you post.

    I’ve already acknowledged this.

This is one side of things.

    He has a mental illness.

    He’s bipolar.

Now look at the other side of the coin.

The man came back into the sport after more than 3 years out, where he was obese.

He came back, shed a huge amount of weight, before taking on a very dangerous guy when he was nowhere near his best.

Then after almost been knocked out, he then came back and rematched him where he won emphatically.

So you’re going to tell me that one of the biggest comebacks in the sports history wasn’t a testament to his mental strength?

    Really?

He showed huge mental strength to rededicate himself to getting into shape and coming back.

He’d made enough money to retire permanently where he could go what he wanted.

    Give the man some credit.

Most people in that position would never have fought again.

So if you ignore his weaknesses he is strong?
    That makes so much sense.

I’m saying that he has a mental health disorder, but at the same time, he’s also a mentally strong person.

Do you not think that he showed huge mental strength by coming back to the sport after a 3 year lay off?

He shouldn't have gone on his eating and drug binge which forced him out for three years.

    Right.

That was part of his mental health issues.

Again, did it not show huge mental strength in shedding a huge amount of weight after a big lay off, to come back to the top of sport?

@Loudon Every boxer is mentally strong if you focus on the right parts.

All fighters obviously have to be mentally strong to be fighters in the first place.

    They’re all warriors.

    That goes without saying.

Not many people in Tyson’s position would/could have made comeback like he did though. So despite him having a mental health disorder, he also possesses huge mental strength too.
